Great video! I'm guessing "sounds like yesterday" means stale or flat?!?!....LOL. I'd probably add a little presence and see if that helps. Nothing like a little 6.3 burst to remind you what day it is!! LOL

Maybe you could use the Wave Vocal Rider to ride the fader? Thanks so much for your great insights.
@joevegna8 ай бұрын
Hi. I've tried the vocal rider and find that I like it in the studio but not live. I guess it has more to do with me being a control freak :) For some acts it might very well be a good solution to keep things consistent. Thanks for watching and your feedback.

Awesome video Joe! Thanks to you, my band actually thinks I know what I am doing. I am definitely going to try this on my vocal channels. As always, amazing content!

Awesome. Glad we can fool your band :) Let me know if you need anything else. Chances are that if you struggle with something, me and others are as well.

Right now I am having a tough time mixing guitars and getting them to sit in the mix properly. We previously only had one guitar player and that was easy enough. Now with two, it’s been rough getting the new (rhythm) guitar to fit in the mix. It’s either too buried or too up front, can’t seem to find the sweet spot. Your VSC video helped a ton though, now I don’t have to waste everyone’s time while I mess with stuff. That was a major game changer for me, can’t thank you enough!

Hi Joe, I’m awaiting the arrival of the ionic interface fir a couple new piece vocal setup using LV1… To get off to a start is it possible to get this vocal preset from you.

You can download both the session file and vocal presets from my homepage. joevegna.com/lv1/ This was actually recorded using the Ionic. It's a great box. You will have a lot of fun :)

Joe, my name is TJ, Happy Holidays, fantastic video, engineering and good song. Your doing a great job my brotha. I’m now starting out building my Waves LV1 mixing set up. To start could I go with 1 touch screen and 1 fit controller? Or is it better with the 2 screens? Where would I plug my headphones into? Which waves I/O as the headphone jack? I’ll be asking you more questions as I put my system together. I’m more in mobile PA system setup not so much working with a band but I imagine I’ll work with a couple small ones. Your insight is very helpful.

Hi, thanks for your kind words. 1 screen + fit or 2 screens is a matter of preferens I would say. I like the physical faders. But in some ways 2 screens would be even more flexible. To get your headphones working you need some kind of IO on FOH. I use the Tactus FOH, but anything soundgrid with a headphone output would work. Take a look at the vide I did called "Waves LV1 custom case build". It might give some insights and inspiration. And let me know if you have any more questions. Thanks for watching.

If they don’t trust you after five shows, even if you delivered every single time then it’s time to move onto the next person.

thank you .what about the pap sound of vocal starting : at 06:47 to 06:55?
@joevegna8 ай бұрын
The first one is from me engaging the plugin. Then I believe it's just "P-pops" going into the vocal mic. It's a condenser mic without a pop filter so it's a bit sensitive. There are a few more on different places. These (and the ugly "S" sounds from the wireless mic) are things that bother me in the studio, but in the heat of the moment live it's not as big of a problem I find. Would you agree or do you have another take on it?

I’m looking into having a KZbin membership where I can offer even more stuff. That will be behind a paywall. Thanks for acknowledging 😀
