Live: Starmer launches Labour Party's general election manifesto

Watch again as Sir Keir Starmer launched the Labour Party's general election manifesto on Thursday, 13 June.
The party has said it will put “wealth creation” at the heart of its promises, with Sir Keir set to proclaim economic growth as his their “core business”.
Today's launch comes after polling showed Sir Keir came out on top in the latest election broadcast event opposite Rishi Sunak - The Battle For No 10 leaders debate on Sky News on Wednesday night.
YouGov figures said around 64 per cent of 1,864 respondents said Sir Keir was the better performer, compared to 36 per cent who said Mr Sunak.
Both Sir Keir and Mr Sunak faced jeers and tough questions from audience members; the PM was booed after claiming the junior doctors’ strike had an impact on NHS waiting lists, while Sir Keir was branded a “political robot”.

This is the worst front bench since Mrs Thatchers 2nd term after her chuffle of death. Installing the sayers of doom and the exponents of dark arts. Who can forget Tebbit, Lamont, Ridley, Pym, Hurd, Rifkind, Hurd, Gummer, Clarke, & Co. And Starmers top-of-the-pops isnt any better .

When there's no accountability it affords our politicians licence to be as economic with the truth as they please. When people fall for all the questionable sales pitch jargon it makes them the sort of people who are easy prey for scam artists.

Exactly. And these people may well mean what they say, but ultimately they know if that no real change happens, ultimately they can't be held accountable for what is said... I.e here. They'll just blame someone/something else. Total bullshit and smoke and mirrors.

People may vote for Labour, but under Mr. Starmer, the NHS, migration, and economy are likely to worsen. Rachel Reeves' ra-re budget and forecasts could lead to significant problems in 2-3 years. While Labour might offer free meals and some financial support, this could promote laziness and unemployment, leading to a nightmare scenario for the economy, inflation, jobs, NHS, and migration.

I turned 70 recently so I've seen a lot of changes in my life. I did a thought experiment today where I converted a 1970's Mars Bar into a unit of currency (it cost 5d in old money then) which meant you could buy 48 of them for a pound. My first job was as a bus conductor and I often took £25 per week home in my pay packet after tax - i.e. 1200 Mars Bars!! A Mars Bar today costs 85p in Tesco's - that means I would have to take home 1200 x .85 = £1,020 per week after tax (i.e. a salary of £68,810pa before deductions with 4 weeks holiday). A bus driver's average salary is now £24,185pa and he has to do the work of a conductor too!! Clearly, Capitalism is not working!!! Well, not for the working man anyway 🙁

More of the same. Labour, torie, 'reform party'. Each party ultimately designed to appeal to a particular type of person. The only real change we'd see is through a complete overhual of central bank fiat currency financial system.
