This is the court that has ruled: 1) That Bribery (Campaign Contribution) is legal and is Freedom Of Speech. 2) That Corporations are people and can give unlimited Bribes. 3) That Non-profit outfits can provide Bribes for political figures without revealing the names of the people who are providing the Bribes. 4) That the people who use Brand name meds have legal protection for side effects, but the majority of people who use the Generics, have no protection. 5) That a bunch of old men in different states can decide about women health and reproductive rights. This just opens up a whole new can of worms which will be debated for generations. It clarifies very little. What "Core Functions" are completely immune from prosecution? What functions qualify for "Presumptive Immunity"? How does one decide if the action is actually immune from prosecution, or open for prosecution? In this case, the Supreme Court has left that to a lower court. That means the acts will be publicly acknowleged, even if they cannot be prosecuted. That sounds like a win for transparency, and big paycheck for lawyers.
