on the AA hand- I am pretty sure that standard line is to simply bet every AA and KK on turn. They gain value from Q, smaller pair with diamond, AK and also some pairs without diamond. My understanding is that in 4bet pots on turn when there is only pot left, its usually best to value bet often and with pretty wide range. At least solver likes to do that.

There’s no AK there from OOP. That jamms pure pre if IP isn’t an abc nit. There’s no Qx here in theory other than AQ, so the best combo to keep betting is AhAd which we unblock all Qx. Haven’t checked solver but im pretty sure this is how it goes There’s also no smaller pairs other than a mix of JJ with diamonds. So OOP bluffs are JJ, 54, 76 and maybe A5hh exactly. And given that we gave him a better price pre he might have those pure, so i like hero’s line and call off if the player isn’t a massive nit and is good. Vs weak regs definitely can fold there.

30:30, both villains check, they will be capped as hell. Would be that too bad to overbet the Turn? I think it may fold out exactly the draws similar to our hand, where K9cc is very likely falling to. I mean given the fact K high is still better than T high, we could basically fold out "better" hands.

His cluttered thought process makes my head hurt. Typical reg thought process to panic and project when facing a large bet on the river.

On the K9 hand is checking back on river with your top pair bad kicker always bad? I'm inclined to do it sometimes if I feel like getting raised on a small bet would be terrible. I agree though that most of the time we are ahead and so not betting small there we would probably be losing out on value.

question about first hand: H has many bluffs here (AQo KQo KJo...). as the oop player i really expect IP to overbluff here so ill overcall any pairs. therefore in your thinking process should you consider V's player type before overbluffing with any 2 broadways ?

Pete I have question. In the AA vs 89dd hand, you didn’t mention KK in opponents hand. Is that because that should always jam pre?

on the AA hand - does Ah really block backdoor flush draws when villain turns up w/ 9d8d ? it would seem he could have had 9h8h or 8h7h or Th9h or . . . many, many other backdoor flush draws in hearts w/o an Ace . . . this is what drives me nuts about solver driven stuff - that thinking works great against the solver (who you will never play) and not so great against the pool . . .

In that aa hand if he is a good reg playing proper preflop ranges, not calling too wide and not jamming rivers too thin, I can't see how he arrives with a single bluff on that river when we have AH.

Um, pretty easy, JJd, 54, 65, 76, and A5hh maaaaybe but we block it lol. But given hero went smaller OOP might have all those suited connectors pure, and if he’s good enough he might even overbluff all those combos. And he also will value bet worse with AQ. Sucks to have Ah tho, but there’s still plenty of bluffs available. Ez call vs good reg, ez fold vs bums.

Can someone explain why it's bad to have an ace of hearts in your hand as opposed to ace of spades in that spot where villain shoved on river.
@heronchambers3824

because it block bluffs...he is more likely to have Ah as a bluff

@@heronchambers3824 Yeah makes sense. I also don't understand why he bets AhAc and AhAs but checks with ace of diamonds. Isn't it obviously better if we bet the nut flush draw and diamonds blocker as opossed to two random combination of suits of aces
@heronchambers3824
@heronchambers3824 Ай бұрын
@@Himmy-x8jhe bets with AhAc in this case as a value bet….he can also fold if villain jams base on his read….also he could check on the flop w/Ad so he is not blown off his pot share/equity….I will need to run it in a solver but I believe EV differences are almost negligible maybe 1 or 2 bb/100….he could have over bet the flop and still be winning in the long run.

@@heronchambers3824 Yeah makes sense. Thank you for taking the time out to explain. I don't have a solver so getting feedback on these kind of situations is very helpful.

This guy seems pretty good. Always sure of his plays with some logic backing his decisions, even when pete suggested other opinions in the AA and QJ hand, he negated it by having reads on his opponents which will always overrule any solver or other human/coach output. Love that we both have very similar color noting schemes haha. Mine is orange for loose passive fish, and light blue for weak/passive regs; but everything else matches! His note taking style is driving me nuts tho 😅 Edit: after the T2s hand things went downhill pretty fast 😅. That K9o is an absolute mega punt. Also, that purple tag says weak reg when it should be absolute mega whales. I mean the guy flatted Q2s SB off a shorty, come on. Guy is still maybe somewhat competent? Lol
