In all the complaining about Maye's lack of snaps, both of you -- and Bedard & Giardi who have reported extensively about it -- have forgotten how bad Drake's mechanics have been coming out of UNC. Earlier this week they both reported Maye's mechanics are improved in 7-on-7's, but in the 11-on-11's they still break down easily. NOTE (!) that Mayo said OL is "one" of the factors limiting his limits. That means there are other factors. Check out Breer's chat this morning with Giardi & Shertenlieb about how that was a major factor in how Reid brought Mahomes along in his first year. Yeah, Maye could have run around, had a lot of fun, generated lots of excitement, but that doesn't help him ground his mechanics so that they become second nature.

Drake Maye getting 1 series... 1 F'n series!! Is a joke.. strait unacceptable.. having to sit through Bailey Zappe after being hyped all week for this 1st pre-season to get a look at Maye was disgraceful... Literally all hype and interest went out the window as soon as they Walked Zappe out there.. and Jacoby Brissett was bad.. no way around it. Missed Wilkox and then under through a wide open Thornton by like 10 yards.. and now having to hear the Joe Milton buzz becuz of a scramble against 3rd - 4th stringers.. and a TD throw to a WIDE open target is so gahhd damn annoying

As a 30yr plus pats fan I've seen the good and the bad. The one thing I hold onto as a fan when Bill was the H.C., was that the real season starts the first week of October. That's when you'll see the best team on the field playing. I don't know if Mayo will go about it the same way, especially with the oline being what it is rt now.. I'm curious what yall think. Is Mayo not worried just yet because he believes in the same time line that Bill did?

Fir the last half of Brady's career he was the key reason one of the main reasons for the Pats success But the first half was the pats defense and special teams, and Brady playing like a top ten qb...just remember Jordan didn't win without Phil Jackson, and the one time Brady one without Bill, was on a loaded Buca team.

Why is it that whenever someone says Milton looked pretty good and seems to be further along than Maye at this point. It’s just what your eyes are telling you. It’s a red flag for me that they are babysitting Maye to this level He does not look like he is even close to being ready so why not give him the whole second quarter to get his feet wet I’m a real game situation if you are trying to develop him holding him back makes no sense to me.
