Why is everyone so tuned into “time spent” on a tattoo.... ? It all depends on the tattooist. Most tattooist would do this in a full day sitting , or maybe one and a half, some do it in half a day. It all depends on the tattooist, some work slow some work fast. As long as you get good results who cares.......

Enjoyed the video! But, for future reference. Even a coil that’s out of tune is going to be less traumatic on the skin than a rotary. This being a reason people should not start with a rotary. Rotaries have no give straight off an electric motor. I guess the xion is dabbling with give and kubin as well. But not for the most part lol coils aren’t hard to use or understand at all. Lining with them is fucking great. Or even doing realistic black and grey stuff.

I’m curious bro. Did you say medium by mistake or have you gone from black to Medium and missed out a dark wash? Personally I use Black - dark=15 drops- medium= 7 drops - light = 3 drops - extra light = 1 drop! But I really don’t like my drop system and always confuse myself cos sometimes it’s inconsistent which means I have to work twice has hard lol

First of all let me say that your work is very smooth and clean. Your black and grey is among the top I have seen coming from anyone anywhere. And it's awesome that your willing to share your knowledge publicly as these days it is rare to see this happening. So many artist now are so concerned with the almighty dollar bill that they have lost sight of anything else. It's definitely had and is having a tremendous negative affect on not only the industry in general but do many kf the artists as well. Now all that being said I feel as though since your making tutorial videos for artists seeking knowledge I feel obligated to point out not only the good but the bad as well. So with all due respect please young artists Do not make jt a habit of setting up your inks across your body . They should be to your right if your right handed as it is much easier than stretching way to the other side and causes you to lay your clip cord on fresh work every time you dip for ink. Which we all know the extra risks being created by doing so. I realize your covered with cord sleeve but it is still creating risks thst are easily avoided as well as the extra reaching and such can wear your after long hours of doing so. Secondly again with all due respect ... if I were your client I would absolutely be begging you to stop that heavy dry wiping anyone with big work can attest to the fact that this begins to be more painful than the actual tattooing. Proper use of ointment and wetting your paper towel will make you a hero with your client. Especially when your getting into hour number 2 3 4 and so on. I know the risk with losing stencil but this cam be eliminated with proper use of ointment and using plain water to wipe with. And again please do not take offense to my comment. Your a helluva an artist for damn sure. J jsut felt obligated to point this out to the young artists who are watching your videos. And again mad props to you for sharing your knowledge for free publicly as that is certainly a rarety these days and I commend you for this above all. I love your work and even after tattooing for 25 years myself I am finding myself being an old dog learning new tricks by watching your technique with your smooth grey shading. Thank you for this and God bless.
