I love this story! I’ve seen a documentary about it with CGI visuals etc. but hearing it in your words was very special and showed the humanity and dignity that appeared that day even in the midst of war. It is a great reminder that we’re all human, even if divided by countries and borders. Thanks for sharing and letting us reflect on these brave men. Flying in a plane that massive with that much damage alone would be truly terrifying, and on top of that they were being shot at and facing an imminent crash. Bless our brave heroes of the past and present. We wouldn’t be here celebrating Christmas without them. Fantastic video nikos and Ted,as a young boy my dad lived in kettering, very close to grafton underwood and he can remember seeing many B17s high in the sky forming up into their formation boxes as they set off on their mission, bomb groups from Podington, Chelveston, Kimbolton, grafton underwood, deenthorpe and more,we will remember their sacrifice for ever,we will remember them.LEST WE FORGET.

Always brings tears to my eyes when I think of the Brown/Stigler incident. 12 O'Clock High is a great film that highlights the tension and pressure that those 8th Airforce bomber crews were under.
