@@callenscreations574 Thank you I have several others on the other walls in there as well been at it a long time .I hunt only mature bucks and they have to Tip the scales field dressed well over 200# or they walk now days .I have some others that are not that big as well but back 35 to 45 years ago any buck with 8point seemed to be good enough and they were likely 2.5 to 3.5 years old and most tipped the scales around 180 or so Field dressed .I have Found Weight is the best tell of buck age they can not attain plus 200# Field dressed 3.5 years old or older around our state very often . I look for bucks that are way obviously bigger ,then the rack comes into play after that . I will never pass up a truly big racked buck for weight and age as long as I know its 3,5 years old because here that would be a bad mistake .I matured as deer hunter along the way and likewise so did the bucks I took . Good hunting

In MI the last two years big bucks held there horns until end of March and the one big buck it was April. Thinking they must still be breading all the does.

Dan I thought you preached you never go back to a spot because you already shot the big buck out of there so it doesn’t matter if people go into a spot you hunted?
@thehuntingbeast
@thehuntingbeast 6 ай бұрын
Never is a big word... I hunt a lot of my best spots once every year or two, but I also realize that tje majority of the bucks I have taken that are actually mature have come from 1st time ever sits... Which helps me move on after people of lower morals move in...

@@thehuntingbeast if you knew someone was hunting a big deer and you moved in on it after he confirmed it in the area then you bag it is that a lower moral move?
