Not voting will not get you reparations. If you don’t vote you harm AA’s because if GOP wins they will continue to not only support reparations but continue rolling back civil rights even more. How does that make sense. If we vote in high numbers we can then have leverage to force the reparations discussion. Not voting is not a strategy if you want to get more. This isn’t the same as boycotting a product-let’s use our critical thinking!

I’m not a Democrat but an Independent but the Dems have given AA’s student loan forgiveness as blacks disproportionately have more student loans, 3 million blacks now have healthcare that didn’t have it prior to Obamacare, blacks disproportionately have to take out loans, seniors only have to pay $35 and blacks disproportionately have diabetes, the SBA have given out more loans to black entrepreneurs than any other administration, Biden-Harris have address the home appraisal disparity that harmed black home owners, Dems passed the Civil rights, voting rights, fair housing do folks are being dishonest to say Dems haven’t done anything that helps blacks specifically. If they get the house and senate Biden will sign George Floyd and John Lewis bills-

I read a blog called the Liberal Patriot that is run by Ruy Teixeira who is a famous democrat analyst from the Clinton era. He talks about a complete realignment between the democrat and republican parties since the year 2000. Even though Trump is wealthy, the Republicans now have all the working class and working poor voters compared to the Democrats who now have all the wealthy voters. This shocked me. Go check this out on Ruy's blog where he shows the datasets with yearly results showing the transitions of voters. This has never happened before. Republicans now have the poorest voters and literally no corporations as they are all democrat aligned. This is concerning because the democrat party is supposed to be a working class party and it's not anymore. The new working class party is the Republican Party. It will be hard for the poorest voters to find representation in the same party as the billionaires and corporations that have opposing interests.
