It's been extremely recently that it has gotten possible at all to prosecute powerful people for such crimes even theoretically. Mr. Brand was notoriously flirty and even crude at times with women even on screen. He was young, addicted, famous, wealthy and attractive. He has never denied any of those things. He is now sober, and married with children. Russell is very quick witted. Unless I hear testimony under oath that proves him guilty, I believe him to be innocent and by law, he should be presumed innocent. Yet several “anonymous” females have completely stopped his career with “journalism” reports.

There are lots of media outlets or 'journalists' out there who will literally spend every waking hour seeking out and tracking down as many women as they can that have been linked to him in some way over the years. They will then solicit as many salacious stories out them as they can, atleast from the ones that will talk. Some of these accousers might have possibly been offered an incentive to tell 'their stories'. That's how many of them are found.

The only problem with all that is that in reality, is that the allegations were in fact voiced and delivered by actors, not the actual women making the allegations, the words may have been those of the women making them, but the convincing performance and the convincing emotional delivery was given by the individual actors making them. Meaning that is was in fact the actors performances which prompted the emotional responses which convinced them and not the women's accusations. The actors delivery is what makes something convincing to the audience, not the script.

It is possible given Brand's relationship history with a notorious swarm of conquests that dozens, maybe hundreds of identified as possible "victims" were approached. From what I understand - NONE of these accusers ever originally planned to come forward only after careful selection of the most vulnerable, then befriending, cajoling and grooming by the teams of journalists were these accusers eventually willing to tell (and/or potentially sell) their stories. However "clever", motivated or even misguided journalists can steer sources by offering them a selection of out-of-context material and rhetoric to weave into their recollections to the point that each story can become coherent and seriously "newsworthy". Couple that with interactions between them and a well publicized, flamboyant, alcoholic, often drug addled sex addict who's personal recollection is probably that anyone willing to interact with him is consenting to whatever happens... we can see a recipe where nobody is lying but has a violation truly occurred? Brand was a well known transparent sexaholic certainly NOT a Jimmy Saville, Kevin Spacey or Rolf Harris where their public personas were considered honourable.
