I love that scene where she kicks the troopers out of the autopsy! The camera angle shows her tiny, compared to those big men and then her voice is high but not very secure. A detective in the making. This film is absolutely flawless.

This is such a classic movie! Sometimes, if I'm going out, I'll put on Goodbye Horses while I put my makeup on, just so I can recite the whole, "Would you F me?" to the mirror and give myself a good giggle! LOL I also totally agree with Nick, every time I hear American Girl, I think of this movie. Years ago, I had to have a biopsy done on my liver, and the Dr doing it was playing Tom Petty's Greatest Hits. I was drugged up, but not asleep, and I remember when that song played, I told her that the song was freaking me out. LOL

The opening of Manhunter scared the piss out of me-the light from the Tooth Fairy going up the stairs and the poor sleeping woman waking up to it-then the camera cuts away- more horrifying than seeing it happen. It’s so 80s-so much synth music-so much intense William Peterson. Brian Cox was more terrifying than Hopkins but I love them both!

I read the book last summer. I have this thing I do where I'll walk to my local library & then over to this nice brewery by the river. I'll have a couple outside and take it in. The novel moves fast too.

My fave Wes Anderson is also the Royal Tenenbaums. I remember being so charmed by it, watching in the theatre. I could not place the narrator and was mad at myself about it when I realized who it was. Gene Hackman, as Royal, really amused me. I thought Gwyneth’s vibe was the coolest. Concerning T. Malick, the last film of his I saw was Song To Song and I believe I’m the only one to like that depressing flick.

Loved Copycat and The Brave One. I like The Thin Red Line the most from Terrence Malick. I hope Joseph does watch The Accused someday soon. The Silence of the Lambs books are good although I agree with Nick that the mind control of Clarice also bothered me a lot 🙄 It robs her of her agency. There is a season of a show called 'Clarice' that was really good, it takes place shortly after the first movie. Worth a watch. A show with a similar premise to Silence of the Lambs that only had 2 seasons is called Prodigal Son and is really entertaining. Other books I'd recommend are the other two by Andy Weir (who wrote The Martian) 🤗 Saw Scream 6 last night. Fun! 💀🔪🩸👀♥️ I really want Everything Everywhere All at Once to sweep the Oscars!!! Amazing movie 🥰

I wish Jodie Foster would have done the 2nd movie!!!!! I am Mexican and I can tell you that the restaurant you didn't care for was probably too authentic for you. You likely like Mexican American food. Nothing wrong with that. I like Asian food but the Americanized version.
