I’m an avid fly fisher of 27 years in western NC. I live in town of Hendersonville and I enjoy the same intimacy of the smaller both wild and native trout streams of the southern Appalachian mountains. I was born on January 19, 1955. This production soothes my soul because I relate so well to its content. Our streams are entering the recovery phase of post hurricane Helene so fishing for us has changed drastically and for a long time here. I look forward to the day when we reach some sort of normalcy in our pursuit of the wild and native treasures of WNC.

Never fly-fishing to this day. And not to much fishing in general. But the last two years been buying and saving. Been tying bugs for 6 months now. 200 bugs or so. Got my fishing license 4 days ago and waiting on waiters to be shipped. My son and I have been watching Joe Humphrey videos for about a year now. Learned to fly tying from Matt O'Neil . KZbin as well. We can't wait to see how our skills are. I know it will take a life time. But I'm 43 and my son is 13. He will have the lifetime to enjoy this. Thank you for sharing your love. By the way my grandma was born in 1929. So that's awesome your still around! Your a fighting Fish!

I watched this documentary about 100 times and every time I watch it I'm in a different part of Pennsylvania fly fishing whether I'm at a hotel resting or in my car sleeping or in my tent @ camping ground ready to go fly fishing, not every time I go out there fly fishing I catch trout but this discipline or sport is more than that it connects me with nature it disconnect me from the world I was born into but I can't recognize anymore fly fishing is the key no cellphone no cameras no social media no bad news no bad vibes.... Joe you are the greatest fly fishing man of all times
