while defining slab section you have selected shell thin type, for proper load transfer one should select membrane type, please correct if i am wrong
@fieldready45976 жыл бұрын
AHID BHATI RCC slabs are considered as thin shell elements. Membrane is entirely a different thing. More on this in advanced course.
@akshaykamath11906 жыл бұрын
Membrane ll be assigned , only when u need load to be transferred from slab to beam ..it ll work by yield line theory by dividing slabs into triangular and trapezoidal shape. If u assign shell thin , it ll not distribute the load instead slab ll take load on its own . U ll get more moments if you do membrane and less moments if u assign shell thin. Hope I cleared Ur doubts.

Dear Sir, You have taken the foundation depth is 2m and 1 m plinth height. Considering that height 3 m as a storey height. But normally this 12 storey building foundation required more depth and we go for Pile foundation. In that condition how we consider the no Of storey?
@fieldready45976 жыл бұрын
Generally any building > G+3 or more has a basement so we didn't have to take depth factor into account. Basement depth will take care of it. For buildings without basement you can find out the depth with the help of the depth formula.
