@@alexisbaltazar8958 I agree. The point is they are not the victim(s) in this case. @@alexisbaltazar8958 i agree. What I really got fed up with was her not seeming to care about John who lost his life but instead only herself and how it has effected her. Not the poor children who lost another care giver. Not karen who may or may not be fairly convinced but herself and how it impacted her. This whole time, I have assumed that their lack of reaction and nastiness to Karen regarding her shock and actual horror over finding John is because they already knew he was dead. It wasn't so shocking to them and they're annoyed and stressed and want it all over with. Just my two cents though. I think Karen's reaction is on par with such an event. I shrieked when I learned of my parent's deaths. I couldn't breathe. I was repeating things...that's not so unusual. That - or these people are totally cold-hearted.

@SunriseBlue-tc9me Hi! I've had a heart problem since I was born. My uncle had a different issue and he had a heart attack at 50 with no warning. I would appreciate it if you wouldn't attribute anger and hatred to causing heart problems. Neither of us are/were angry or hateful and it can lead to some misconceptions and generalizations about heart health. If you feel something strange in your chest get checked. Hard to detect heart murmurs can be indicators of a hole in the lining of your heart. The walls of your heart can be too thick and both can kill you.

Jennifer McCabe was her own worst enemy, her need to control her narrative is so stressful to hear. She refused to answer ANY questions that she couldn't add details and explanations because she knew it didn't look good. She didn't go to Michael Proctor's house or Lank's house, she went to their wives' homes? Come on. I was thinking she's using the wives as some sort of intermediary for information or something. Because why be evasive about going to Proctor's house by calling it Elizabeth Proctor's home...wtf was that? It was entirely sus. She told people Karen said she hit him but no one has it on record, even in grand jury testimony. She didn't delete calls or searches but the records show she did. Wanting to see all the records related to her made her seem like she needed them to tell her what exactly to remember. The total Mean Girl comment about what Kerry said really pissed me off. I've dealt with girls like that before and it was triggering.

I wasn't quite seeing it but I already had my thoughts about Kerry and then she started testifying and I was like oh ok, soo Jen is the not credible one and the talker and going to EVERYONE'S house and having ppl over to overhead the statements and why???! Why is Jen even so involved in all this, it's her brother in laws house?? Did Nicole need her help or does she just insert herself? She's more involved in all this and everyone's info and statements than Chris Albert whose son is practically being accused of fighting and hurting John. All I can see is someone wanting to be so in on it and maybe a fixer when it's really not anything to do with her besides her daughter picking up a kid from the house around the time and Jen was at the house and gave other kids rides home.

@@origamikiddo2625 I personally feel like Jen felt replaced by Karen. *Super speculation* I think Jen said something to John about being in love with him and they argued. I think Chloe was let out at the same time. Brian Albert didn't know the gate was open. The dog attacked John thinking it was protecting Jen. Jen had just been rebuffed in some way so she convinced Brian Albert and Brian Higgans that John had done something to provoke the dog and Chloe was protecting Jen. I think Jen didn't want them to know what she had said to John. He rejected her and could ruin her marriage. I still don't know what killed him and how his body was damaged so idk what else happened to him. I just know about his arm.

Karen's actions make so much sense, if Jen told Karen she saw Karen pull up the previous night. ALL the sense. - Karen comes to Jen's attention because of screaming like a banshee while on phone with Kayleigh. I probably spelled that wrong. - Karen has no memory of the night after the Waterfall, but Jen tells her that she saw her car pull up to Fairview. Any normal human being is going to be scared that they had hit the person, if they are told they drove them the night before, they have no memory, they have a cracked tail light, and now their passenger has mysteriously disappeared. Especially considering that John would never have left the kids he was raising. No wonder Karen was continuously saying, did I hit him, could I have hit him. No wonder she ran around the scene like her hair was on fire when she found him dead, or probably dead. I don't know how this got upgraded to an intentional killing, unless the upgrading was Jen's fault and that's why she was so tough as a witness.

So Jen announced she saw KR at 34 Fairview, and Karen has no recollection of that (booze or MS brain fog). I wonder if Jen gaslit KR into believing she was at 34 Fairview and planted the idea that KR hit him. If so, it would make sense why KR was so focused on "did I/could I have hit him?" idea. If she "forgot" she was at Fairview, she could have "forgotten" running John down. This all seems profoundly sketchy.

I actually think Jackson’s anger in asking his question, even when objection against it is sustained, makes the point about not previously testifying as to “I hit him”. It might not be necessary, but I buy into his passion and prefer the questions being asked in that way rather than emotionless, calm and wholly professionally. I think it makes the point more credible and highlights it. He also perfectly shows what a hideous human being Jen is way better than if he remained passionless.

If Jen did that search at 2:28am, I think it completely exonerates Karen. Jen knew that John was in the yard that night, which means that Jen knew that John had been in the house and got in some sort of fight, and she's now covering for someone (likely Higgins, for whatever reason) - or one of these policeman has told everyone to cover this up, and likely also was orchestrating things with the various investigators (including Proctor). And it sounds like Jen's the main reason why the women went back to 34 Fairview in the morning, so she's 100% lying when she says that Karen knew the body was there - JEN knew the body was there. Carrie's not in on the coverup, so she doesn't know that she's not supposed to say that Jen suggested that they go back to 34 Fairview. Also, if the prosecution could only uncover that one story about Karen being mistaken about this interaction between John and the younger girl, that's definitely not enough to prove any sort of motive on Karen's part, so I think it's pretty clear that she's gonna be found "not guilty" at this point - I very highly doubt that the prosecution has any sort of smoking gun, or they already would've shown it. Meanwhile, I think the defense still has a ton of smoking guns that are gonna point entirely toward the people at the house that night, and away from Karen herself.

Soooo here's the thing... Carrie was in such shock at seeing her friend that way that she doesn't even know why she was wrapping his head with a blanket, but was not so shocked to see the "weird electrical box" nearby?? Sounded almost exactly how the Albert's described it... So is she in cahoots with the Albert's or did she watch their testimony because there's no way she was actually paying attention that night while not even being able to recall why she wrapped his head in a blanket. It's the little stuff like this that make me really think they are all in a line of stories and lies together.

Very good point. Her not supposed to be home has enlightened a few things for me... Explains why she was so panicky immediately cuz John knew that so was planning to be home so she knew something was wrong. She immediately talked to Kayleigh to see if she had a text from her uncle like hey I'm heading home later or snow is so bad I'm staying at Mike's for a few hours or whatever. I'm also wondering if Karen's not supposed to be there was cuz they had a fight on the way home and Karen's like fine, hang out here but I'm not staying over tonight. I'm gonna go sleep a few hours at your place then head home, so wake me up when u get home so I can leave.

They have mocked Karen for crying , screaming, being upset over finding John . Even petty comments such as she didn't like John's " old " car is their attempt to give the impression she is pretentious. However, her past proves otherwise. She is a finance person dealing with numbers, hard facts and that gives somewhat the skill of emotional control. She is also considered knowledgeable in her field being given a position as an adjunct college instructor. Prosecution witnesses have even portrayed her as generous - helping John with the kids, rearranging her schedule during Covid to be with them, paying for dinner for most everyone on the Aruba trip, buying things for the kids etc. All of which does not add up to Murder !
