The lesnar shooting star press was crazy, ive seen the move done by Billy Kidman so many times that when Lesnar did it and hit his head, I honestly thought he was doing a different move altogether. Plus he showed up fine on live tv afterwards so I didnt know that it was a botch. It wasnt until years later that I realized how bad it truly was

Angle Vs Shane-O-Mac at King of the Ring still sits at the top of my favourite matches list !

Let's not forget when Nia Jax returned at last year's Royal Rumble. Her theme song played before the entrance timer had even started counting down. Apparently, there was sheer panic backstage.
@Rockhound61657 ай бұрын
I know it's not WWE but I would venture a guess that when Jeff Hardy came out in no shape to wrestle Sting that panic was an understatement.

I screamed when Goldberg botched 'Taker. I was genuinely terrified something worse happened to him.

What I find funny with the whole crucifix pin situation is Ronda wasn't even rolled into a crucifix pin properly, she still had her whole body over Becky which technically should mean Ronda won by actually pinning Becky to the mat because it was so botched it didn't even look like a proper crucifix pin, they were just so infatuated with getting Becky over again they did whatever it took and it was honestly such a bad direction for storylines and everything.

To be fair, Maven didn't miss the trash can, Golddust lowered the trashcan after he'd launched the kick. Dust didn't seem to think he could reach that far up
@KBlade111 ай бұрын
Lmao. Vince was really trying to book Maven with the most dangerous drop kick in the business. Kudos to Vince for coming up with a gimmick that would make the dropkick get a pop again!

I think the ref needs to have more of a role in some of these situations. Being confident in momentarily pausing the match, having a cue to go on commercial break, fixing the problem, and continue. I feel wwe does an extremely poor job in not being prepared for mistakes and having a plan B, especially given that its all already choreographed and scripted.

back in the VHS days, any run of the mill PPV from 2001 (excluding wrestlemania) could be purchased 2nd hand for 3 or 4 bucks. King of the Ring 2001 however was always $30 or more specifically due to that match
@JRJigsawyer3 ай бұрын
We sat through a 7 hour wrestlemania just to get that horrible botched ending. Was supposed to be the climactic feel good coronation for Becky who was easily the hottest talent in the company at that time and Ronda totally fucked it up. She should've just agreed to tap out, but noooo

Funny how much Vince was upset about a small piece of butt cheek showing threw tights when he used to pull his pants down and have wrestlers shove their face into his cheeks... oh yeah and the other things Vince would do with his cheeks...
