Here are some duels where I showcase the potential of Elemental Shaman in PvP! The weapon I was using is Hand of the Edward Odd. It has a chance on hit to make my next spell an instant cast.

@@Turtlemilk Same reason, if you are 1 hit away from killing your opponent casting a lvl 1 Lightning Shield could win you a duel if you are almost oom

I dislike how you are giving shaman false pretense that they are incredibly OP. You are equipping item to specifically counter your opponent. Shadow reflector, Tidal Charm, grenades, rocket boots etc etc. Not sure if private server are different but in vanilla, it was considered poor duel etiquette or unfair to use cool downs longer then 5 mins including trinkets. Item are generally also frown upon along with grenades, potions and engineering stuff. Most of your opponents also did not use anything either making it unfair.

I still don't understand why so many people were so uniformed in vanilla wow. I've always known elemental shaman was by far greater than an enhance and perhaps the best class/spec in pvp at the time. Everyone got brainwashed by some enhance shaman with hand of rag making a video that yes it was cool but that shaman would stand no chance in any aspect of vanilla against an elemental shaman.

Excellent video! Everything I needed to know, very informative. First time playing Horde and first time playing a Shaman on classic! What an experience, it's like a totally fresh game for me, and I'm LOVING EVERY MINUTE OF IT. Throughout my entire wow career I have almost exclusively played a Paladin and melee only. What an interesting class, it really shines in this version. I can see a lot of the mirrors between Paladin spells and Shaman, and it's interesting to see them implemented in such different methods of execution. I always assumed caster classes were nothing but hard casts due to earlier game experiences, and it's really flipping gnarly to be playing all these classes for the first time. What I love about this version is you can spec and play however you want to without having to deep tree and get some diversity of play. Have you tired out something along the lines of 22/11/18 with 2h and 1h/shield? Goofy stuff like that as a Paladin was such a blast. Especially taking multiple rogues. What casters are any of your favorites from this version?

Maybe, duels as a hunter are very long and drawn out at this bracket. When I duel good hunters on my warrior the duel lasts 2+ minutes sometimes. I'll record a duel session on Hunter and see if the video is longer than 20 mins, after I've beat the majority of classes.

Until dps classes get BWL+ gear it's alright. Then you won't really be able spend time on hitting them in melee range.

Did you know on retro wow every 2.5 points of SP increases the damage of rank 1 searing totem by 1. My rank one totem hits for 200dmg 😂 unbuffed

Im betting most shamans wont be running around with that thing until classic is old and dead. Private servers are free while classic is 15 dollars a month. Unsure how long classic will stay popular after the roll through happens and people do all the stuffs

how do you get top PVP gear and items for all classes? is this a special version of WOW? Private server?

Have you tried making Elemental work in PvE? I'm considering doing it in Classic, even though it's universally panned. I've seen it do alright on damage, and it can be flexible with off-heals on certain fights etc. Thinking of saying fuck it and just maining it and hoping for the best in terms of finding a guild. Don't really care if they're a hardcore server first type of guild, just as long as I get to see the content before TBC servers.

Problem is that they're only "alright". Won't scale insanely and giving them caster gear which would give the raid more damage if given to another caster would make people turn against you. But you should easily find a guild to take you.

@@bassisku There's a lot of elemental only gear in MC, ZG & BWL, like mail spell damage gear, so i'm not worried about loot competition. I guess there's tier 2.5 to compete with, but afaik, tier 2.5 isn't all that desirable for some of the classes which should make it less difficult. True gear competition will only matter for a couple of items like the nefarian weapon & some of the trinkets which i'm happy to wait for if I have a decent alternative.

@@porcu12345 I was main shaman on vanilla and I can tell you it's insane good in pvp and duels like you can't even imagine how sick this spec is and it's sad that so many people got brainwashed by some EDITED video of a shaman with a hand of rag stomping people with windfury but he left out how 99% of the time he was getting owned with 0-1 windfury procs. Now in pve it's a bit clunky but still good . Mana can be a huge issue. I'll never forget on the second boss in BWL valeztraza each time we'd down him I always got top charts on heals and top damage simultaneously #1 on both aspects. So yes it's viable in a hybrid way.

I played this spec back in vanilla. It's not just powerful its by far the number one pvp class/spec period. I got so bored of owning people in this build that I started playing on my shaman naked just wielding a weapon and some rings/trinkets
