There are many factory workers who have to show up at work. If the snow gets bad, they are forced to stay there, the machines have to keep going. Their families with be at home, hoping to hear from them and trying to keep warm.

Everyone remember the doctors and nurses at hospitals and nursing homes can’t stay home! Always remember these people! Also first responders! They don’t get excuses for bad weather to stay home. We need to be thankful for them! They had to brave extreme conditions and aren’t warm or safe!

Ohio here, woke up with mild frostbite indoors. Thank you Ryan for the coverage, my boyfriend is from Washington and this blizzard has amazed and terrified us both. Homeless in a cheap motel rn with no emergency heat or car but was able to grab important last minute items for emergency before the snow began thanks to this channel. This is what The Weather Channel USED to be and more.

@erinbrown2800said he was doing a 24 hour livestream for the event in the mid-afternoon, I imagine he’s catching up on sleep right now but will be back in ASAP. Most of Ohio is in a Level 3 Snow Severity and it’s supposed to keep snowing for the next day. It won’t get above freezing for the rest of the week.

@everlyw7892 We haven't had a major, destructive storm since 2012 and SANDY. We've had plenty of ordinary thunderstorms, of course. We've 'had it coming' for awhile. Winter is usually pretty mild. That's because we're downwind of all the hot air that comes from Capitol Hill!

I’m in Ohio and Wow I feel bad for the people and also now I skip school but the bad thing is the tornado and I can’t see my friends or anybody or anything but my parents and my dog nobody is in the streets and now all my moms plants are gone and all her work is gone the trees are down my dog is getting the house so wet because of snow and the snow is like 4 inches high and stay safe don’t go on roads and have a good day if you were in the tornado I feel bad for you prayers for people who didn’t survive it and yea I hope you guys have a good life and day cya

Gotta admit, though, I'm disappointed that snow never developed over my area. We didn't even get a dusting. How could the forecast have gone from 3-6 inches, then to 1-3 inches, only to not even get a single snowflake.

We have about 7” of snow right now (Obetz Ohio area) but before snow fell, the roads became severely icy due to drizzle earlier this afternoon. My son flipped his car. he wasn’t going very fast, had just merged onto a highway from a side road after stopping. As he came on to the road he tapped his breaks as he neared the cars in front of him and hit ice, fishtailed, hit the side of the road that went down a small ditch and flipped. Although the car is totaled, and I lost my heartbeat a bit when I saw the photos, he is ok. So be aware that even if you are going only 10mph, you can hit ice, lose control and flip the vehicle if the situation is there. Had any one of the causes were different- no side ditch, fishtail overcome, no sudden stopped traffic- he wouldn’t have had this happen. Or had even one element been different, such as a bigger ditch, had been on the road longer and was up to speed when hitting the spot if ice, others also hit the ice and hit his already flipped car- it could have been much worse. So, being safe/careful isn’t always enough, if you don’t have to be out, don’t chance it. Nothing is more important nor needed more than you life. Luckily he is ok
