First heard this song in ‘78 at Day on the Green in Oakland. By the time Bon said “Livewire” the first time, I knew they were the new kings of R&R. They blew Van Halen, Pat Travers, Foreigner, & Aerosmith off the stage...with a 35 minute set. This song is Bon Scott. In my 44 years of concerts the only opening song that has ever come close was the Foo Fighters on the One by One tour playing “All my Life”. Close...but no cigar.

Just saw this. Born in '72, this is a band I've had all my life. In Bon's 7 year career with the band, they brought some of the most talented music ever, in the history of the earth. Brian has spent over 40 years filling that legacy and continuing to grow it. Without him and his amazing albums AC/DC would be gone and we could argue about who did better. Axel really pulled it off. Maybe we'll see him later, but it's nice to see the old stuff played like it used to. That being said I don't want him in the studio trying to rerecord anything on the Highway to Hell album. Good luck.

Best thing Axl did for AC/DC was convincing Angus to bring songs like this, Riff Raff, etc back. Live Wire actually fits Axl really nicely too. BUT… as much as I love Slade for his talent and his tempo that brought AC/DC back to the forefront during The Razors Edge era, his style just doesn’t fit this song. Still, so glad this is available to see and hear!

To be fair while not a fan of Axl as a singer and not overly happy with him in Acca Dacca i have to give him credit here he actually does the song justice IMO. Brian said he'd never perform it again (nor Ride On) out of respect for Bon

Why does he sing other Bon Scott songs? Highway to Hell, TNT, etc..

@@Joe-to8og because they are regulars when it comes to acdc concerts. They kind of have to be played as their so iconic to the band

Brian has done Ride On. AFAIK, the only song the band considers off limits out of respect for Bon is "It's a Long Way to the Top".

Well, Axl did his job not badly at all, at least better than I expected him. But I just can't help, all in all he looks here like an alien from another planet, the hat, the boots, this checked shirt and the damned jewellery shop on him:))

I have to say I lost a bit of interest in this band after Flick of the Switch, but i absolutely love the Bon Scott days.

Still not bad after all these years but not quite the way it sounded back in the day If they would had behind the drums and unfortunately Malcolm not being it would sound like it did back In the days of live in Paris video with exception of Bon Scott not be there Axel Rose sounded pretty good I’m sure Brian would sound pretty good as well I was talking about the groove of the song basically
