The N64 version, im my opinion; had the soundtrack most fun to listen to.

And thinking it's just because of the cartdridge system of the N64 they have to make different songs... I'm glad ! XD

Some N64 OSTs have their own charm, for sure! Extreme G and Extreme G: XG2 as a perfect example. As for Re-Volt I can't decide whether I love N64 or Sega version more. They're both fun, but Sega version is a little bit more solid.

„the N64 version has a bit of a different OST due to its soundchip limitations." Nope, Re-Volt N64 has a different soundtrack because the N64 cartridges were expensive and limited to 64MB, the CPU can't address further than that. Lossy compression was bad back in the 90's, so It was impossible to fit the PC soundtrack on the cartridge (at least in acceptable quality). The bigger game meant the bigger manufacturing costs, so the Nintendo 64 port with PC soundtrack would sound badly and the game would cost more Just summing it up

There was Top Gear Overdrive... For anyone who wants to hear a practical example of directly compressing a prerecorded song for the N64, instead of the console playing each instrument in real time.

I didn’t know that it samples the Frontend intro. That’s so dope.

Re-Volt, Extreme G2, and Chopper Attack have bar none some of the best N64 music I've ever heard.

If you see this you should listen to the Tetrisphere ost, it's insane.

Wait, this is what it actually sounds like?! I legit thought my cartridge was busted thanks to those sudden stops.
