LIVE with Anya Jo Elvidge (Environment Artist, The Creative Assembly)

At the time of our conversation, Anya Jo Elvidge was an Environment Artist at The Creative Assembly, where she worked closely with the team behind Total War: Warhammer II and Total War: Three Kingdoms.
I loved hearing the story of how Anya got to where she is today. One of the biggest catalysts behind Anya's career was her blog, where she posted updates of her work and progress every week. Her regular posts helped her to grow an audience and even landed her some profiles and features on 80 Level. Eventually, one of her followers ultimately referred her to The Creative Assembly. :)

One more comment I want to make. I watched this entire video... and it was worth every minute of it. Gave me great insight into an aspect of the art world I now wish I had gotten into years ago. The art I have done is only with graphite and colored pencils. High detailed Murals, Busts and landscapes are my expertise.

If Anya is working on Three Kingdoms campaign map, I would say it's very beautiful. Of course I will only know first hand in 2 weeks time though.

I'm not personally in this art industry. I just happened to come across this video via doing a KZbin search of "ChamberBot Q&A session with 3D environment artist, Raevantiel!" with Soulbound Studios currently on the upcoming MEOW game Chronicles of Elyria. Anyway it's clear from this interview of Anya Jo Elvidge that she is absolutely well on her way to making a name from herself and will be very successful in her career. Needless to say I would like to see you and your talents jump on-board with Soulbound Studios and their upcoming game. Cheers...
