You mentioned your daughter in this video so I looked up her work and when I got to Heart N Soul, I started crying. I don't know what brought me to tears on this one. I just love it, the beauty of the horses, the freeness of the strokes, the brightest and the childlike innocence of it. I just cried. Just beautiful.

Wow, beautiful , Awesome video and painting ! LOVE your Style Mr. Jenkins. I would love to learn how to paint like this. Is it oil painting? and if so, do you prime your canvas like you do with acrylics? and what do you use? Or is it White paint perhaps? LOVE it , and thank you so much.

LOVE watching you paint, Gary, you are amazing ARTIST. Must say tho. sometimes your wife shouldn't be suggesting or commenting while YOU the ARTIST is in your Zone along with your viewers, example @ 1:05:23 . IT DRIVES ME CRAZY when Im being interrupted while in the Zone. lol. Just saying , hope you dont mind. This is how we learn. THank y;ou for sharing your amazingness.

Dear crazy This is Gary Jenkins .Let me explain what live streaming is all about, First of all live streaming is an interaction between the artist and the public. I can not read the comments coming in ,So my wife Kathwren who is also an Artist for the last 55 years and has been my business and teaching partner for 40 years,will read a lot of the comments from the viewers as they come in LIVE. Together we have taught thousands of seminars all over the USA and Germany. Kathwren has to relay the comments and questions on to me. And she will sometimes answer them for me. She has a great deal of experience. So this is what live streaming is all about and we will continue this format in the future..There are also many other artists that do live stream videos ,then post them to KZbin so more people can see them. They also have a spouse or camera person talking and relaying the questions on to them. If this as you say ,drives you crazy, my I suggest that you not watch. I do not want to be responsible for driving anyone crazy . If you are at all interested ,please look up my wife’s videos on KZbin,Kathwren Jenkins. The both of us also have MANY videos on Farbi Flora Television on KZbin. Several of those videos were from our international PBS television series that we were the host of from 1983-2015. facebook.com/gary.jenkins.505

So Sorry Kathreyn if I offended you and Gary. I watched your Television shows on PBS and loved the both you guys talent art and your program. LIVE Stream is different, but it was my first i watched of your live stream. YOu are both very amazing artists and your tutorials are much appreciated. What's your age. I'm an older woman just learning to paint and wanted to know if there is hope for me
@GaryJenkinsTelevision4 жыл бұрын
Beverly,I will be 83 on the 22nd. of November. I have been a full time professional artist for about 60 years,ever since graduating from the 4 year art school,Ringling ,in Sarasota Florida in the Early 1960s. It's never too late to learn.
@aufait-4 жыл бұрын
@@GaryJenkinsTelevision I understand how old you are now, but I'm a senior just beginning and I'm getting so discouraged 😟
@GaryJenkinsTelevision4 жыл бұрын
Beverly, there is always hope ,but there is no way I can give you an exact answer . It all depends on how much time you want to put into practicing. Depends on how well you can learn to draw and many other factors. Some people just want to be a hobby painter and are content to stay at a somewhat beginner level,which is perfectly okay,and some people want to become more of a professional painter and eventually want to sell their work. But a lot of time and dedication has to be put into it to become good at it. Unfortunately ,not all people are meant to become painters. They never learn to see through an artists eye. They do not see all the detail,colors and subtleties that are in the things they wish to paint. People can learn to copy something that someone else has painted ,but they can not paint/compose something entirely on their own. When a person can learn to do that,and do it well,then they can become a professional. There is no quick answer or no short cuts when it comes to learning. There is no substitute for practice. It all depends on how bad you want it. And very important when your starting out,is to have GOOD INSTRUCTION.There are many painters on Facebook and KZbin that are not good painters of teachers. Just because people are on social media teaching doesn't mean they are good painters. ANYONE can be on social media. Also ,so many would be painters try to learn on their own. To some extent that is okay at times,but then they do not know what they are doing wrong,and they keep painting the same wrong way over and over again. That is why getting good instruction is invaluable,whether is is from books,DVDS,,Online courses,in person instruction from well known reputable artists. But it does not matter how old you are when you start. It just means you have to work at it more ,to catch up with someone who started earlier. You just have t make time to do that and NOT GIVE UP. Learning to paint WELL is not easy. Kathwren

@@GaryJenkinsTelevision oh my God. I am so grateful for your words of wisdom and knowledge. What a terrific answer! Thank you, thank you! P.S. I want it really bad! I'll keep practicing!

Thank you Beverly,but that was MY answer ,not Gary's. I often answer the questions for Gary on his KZbin page as well as on my KZbin page,KATHWREN JENKINS STUDIO, Gary is much too busy to keep up with all the questions.But he does see all his comments/questions. I also post most of the comments on his Facebook page. We use the SAME PAGE .But I always sign my name when I am answering or commenting for him. Being Gary's business and constant teaching partner for 40 years , and my self ,being a painter for almost 60 years, I am well qualified to answer all painting comments. Have fun learning . Be patient,and don't be too hard on tourself. Enjoy the journey. Kathwren Jenkins
