Tiara and Shakira You were out of line imo. Berating bad plays & making a spectacle discourages bad plays & will ultimately be a negative when it comes to him ever showing you his cards again , which he probably never will. Just keep this in mind when talking strategy at the poker table, dont tell anyone else how they should play, its bad for the game

is there any reason[able explanation] behind the decisions made in the last two hands (calling w/ high card, folding full house)?
@kevinkim08174 жыл бұрын
jack high put him on a busted draw, and since the possible draws are low cards he thought he was good. folding the full house with the 6, I'd have to imagine that he thought the odds weren't right for him to call just to split and assumed other guy had him beat (aa, a6, etc.). horrible plays on both hands.

@SubStandardPoker5 жыл бұрын
I mean I don’t know Coco’s bankroll situation, but if he’s scared to lose a buy-in or two he shouldn’t be playing these stakes. That’s one of those situations where a guy is running hot and you don’t want to call, but if you fold it you definitely are losing money overall. You just begrudgingly throw in a call and go home or rebuy if you lose.

Folding a 6 is a sub optimal play. One must always assume an opponent has the nuts or 2nd nuts. One must Always fold to any and ALL agression. This is mentioned in several chapters in the mighty Phil Hellmuth 📖.

In proper hand analysis it is a ok spot to fold. JJ leads the flop into 6 people, repping a good hand. The 4 comes off on the turn and it checks around. Realistically with position, JJ will be checking back all his pocket pairs on that turn. He will also likely shut down K6. When the river binks, we have a cold call and a raise. Looking into a person behind you, what is middle position calling with? And then what could JJ be raising with. You're only calling to chop, and if you call every single time to just chop you will be losing money over the long run when JJ has 4s, Ks or K6. You have to look at the range of BOTH players and wondering what they call and raise with. Likely AK is the very very bottom of MP range and a boat the bottom of JJs range. I would have made the call, but I'm also a donk.
@ajshap45465 жыл бұрын
Must be great for JJ playing against these guys

Terrible etiquette from the guy who repeatedly shouted "he folded a six!" - just stfu and let people play their game. If you think its a bad play, more fool you for letting him know. You're not even in the hand.

I was thinking his cards had to have been wrong until I got to the end of the hand. Only thing I can think of is he misread the board and didn't realize there were two 4's on board? So maybe he thought he had trip 6's with a jack kicker and thought he was outkicked? Or maybe he was just a nit master.

Wow so let's look at the last hand. Folds a full house to what would be a chop pot majority of the time. He is only losing to pocket K's, pocket 4's or A6.
