Hey, thanks bro, and thanks for watching. I feel as if trees have definitely upped my game. I've always thought they would be too far out of the boat, but that is not an issue. It is nice to be able to turn on a dime too!

How long is the handle on your net? Can't wait go get my 1875 Impact on Fri.

How do you like the Lund Impact for Lake Erie. I'm out of Port Clinton, and love the Lund Tyee, but don't love the entry price. Could probably get into the 20' Lund Impact at a respectable price, but was led to believe not a good option. I'll search your other videos for more info as well. Thanks
@livebig2476 күн бұрын
@labmastersteve Hey brother. I like my Impact, but it doesn't like lake erie....lol. No, seriously though, if you stay in tune with the weather you will be fine in whatever. The key is to not think you can just go out there like what you see on T V and run hard. I learned that lesson already having to send my boat back to the factory for loose rivets. So when God allows me the opportunity to get back out there, it will be babied for sure, taking my time and not rushing. As far as fishing goes, I absolutely love how it fishes, especially trolling for walleye. When you get time, check out my walleye videos and you can see how I have it set up. Thanks for watching, give me a shout for any more questions, and have a blessed day 🙏
@labmastersteve Here is a video that shows my setup. about half way through the video I show how I have it set up

@@livebig247 appreciate the reply, and also sending prayers and good health. Yes, I live on Lake Erie, and have fished a Proline 200 Sport Center Console for years. Looking to switch to Lund/Aluminum...but I've "sorta" fallen in love with the deeper cockpit on the Lund Tyee....but the price tags are a bit much. I'll check out the other videos, and again, prayers for a speedy recovery so you can get back out there in 2025

Which Impact do you have? Is that a sport top or bimini top?
@livebig247 Жыл бұрын
Hey, thanks for watching. I have the 1875. It's a sport-top. It's a must-have for me. Protects from the rain, cold water/wind, and hot sun. Easy to set up and take down. Be sure and give me a shout if you have any more questions, and don't forget to like and subscribe 😊

Good videos. What ate you using for trolling rods? Size, power brand?
@livebig2472 жыл бұрын
Hey, thanks and thanks for watching! I'm using shakespeare ugly stik gx2 , 7 foot, medium, one- piece rods. They were suggested by Frank's Great Outdoors in Michigan. The 7 foot is nice when netting your own fish. I have no complaints with the rods after two seasons of use. I have worked them really hard on some trophy sized sheep head ....lol, and they are still running strong. Not too expensive either. Don't hesitate if you have any more questions. Thanks again, and don't forget to like and subscribe 😉

Thanks. I am buying a 2019 1875 and want to get set up for Erie. You do a great job out there by yourself. What other equip do you use? Cranks, line, etc?
@livebig2472 жыл бұрын
@@toddcarl1779 Abu Garcia 5500 LC line counter reels, Trilene XT 10lb test main line, Sunline Sniper 16-20 lb fluorocarbon leader, and Bandit Walleye Deep crankbaits. Coming from my main line I use a bead, swivel, then a ball-bearing snap swivel, fluorocarbon leader, then a snap connecting the crankbait. This keeps the junk around the bead, keeping the cranks clear from debris

What boards are you running ?

I run the off shore tackle in- line boards. The are pretty much considered the gold standard! Franks Great Outdoors sells them with tattle flag kits already installed, and for a good price too

Lol......yes, I'm very aware of and always follow the regulations. You will have to look back closely at my video. Notice the rods (three) that are bending. I use my other tree and holders as rocket launchers to keep my other setups on stand-by. Never hurts to have extra rods ready to go. Thanks for watching and don't forget to like and subscribe😊

Hi. I thought it would be helpful to explain to people how I was catching them, as people have asked me to include this information in my videos. I thought that was a good idea, and I'm glad that I did so I can look back and see for myself what was working as well. Thanks for the feedback, and have a blessed day!
