Just a tip for you, I fish Lake Erie quite a bit. Yes, just an exceptional fishery! If you only put the line in about halfway on the clip closest to the flag, you can actually pop it loose and it makes your board swing back into the middle and away from all the other lures. Feel free to try it! Thanks for the great footage!

Nice video and fish. Glad you had a nice time on my home lake. As a captain I'm blessed to be able to make walleye fishing my job here.

Watching fish catches is very entertaining but when your a die hard angler the details( line,lure,set up, water temp, technique etc ) are just as interesting.

I fished Lake Erie last April. We got on the lake and limited out 4 out of the 5 days. 1 day was a blow day. And Saturday I’m headed to Green Bay for 5 days of bay fishing, can’t wait

"Didn't go 20." 😆 Glad you guys had fun and had a great trip. I'm fortunate to live 4 miles from the boat ramp. Your second spot looked to be West of South Bass Island over near Green. Great early season location. Great job fellas!

So I’m guessing this area you’re fishing on the western basin is pretty shallow right? How shallow is it? See I’m used to fishing out of the PA side in Midsummer and 50 to 70 feet of water lol you guys have a nice over there

Do you guys fish Bandits very often? I started fishing them last year and they seemed to work fairly well. Any specific patterns you’d recommend?
@CodyS2 жыл бұрын
Quite a bit out there because of the diving depth. I always try to stick with flashy chrome colors on sunny days and brighter colors on cloudy days.

That's a special place when DNR encourages fishermen to keep a limit of walleye big or small. Lake Erie will peak out in the next 3 years. Average should be 27"

@@CodyS does the trolling motor do alright steering at 2-2.4 mph?? Might be a stupid question lol but I never used mine going that fast

Plenty of fish to catch. I am all for keeping and enjoying fish for dinner. However, no reason to keep the big girls that had not yet spawned. Maybe you would think differently if it was your home lake. Don’t be in a rush to come back.

How deep do you recommend running deep divers like bandits we ushaly use spoons right by you

Depends how deep your fishing and where the fish are in the water column. Run em high and low.

Stick baits, they are similar. Most of the crank baits used in this video are floating cranks not suspending.
