This has to be the single greatest season by a rider in all time. Love to watch him just hit the gas and leave everyone else fighting for second. At this point he has already beaten them in their minds before they even get on the bikes.

@@lofifordreamers I 100% agree with you. Pogi is just fun to watch because he actually races....all of the time. You really never know when or where it's going to happen, but you know that he will just go when he wants. And, the crazy/great thing about it is, the guys that he is racing know it as well and can do nothin about it.

With Pogi, van der Poel would had won Olympics, they would have worked together more or less including van Aert like in many races, but alone van der Poel didn't worked alone and opportunities arised for others.

2:34 Interesting, as professionals they suppose to concentrate on gear selection at any given time and moment. They're on a decline in with a lite Candence instead of a hard Candence. (11T) 4:24 Here's another over spinning the crank, due to being in the wrong gear. Put the rear gear on 11T and the front Chainring on 57T

To all the dropkicks here saying Pog is the greatest ever, you are Delusional! He is NOWHERE near King Eddy, nowhere! Has he won any Sixes, has he won Roubaix, has he won the Vuelta, NO!! Has he ever won a big bunch sprint on a flat stage, has he ever held the green guersney, has he held the Hour, NO! Has he ever won a stage of Le Tour by 8 minutes, has he won the TDF by over 15 minutes, NO!! How many world titles, 1, how many for Eddy, 4! Do not forget, for most of his career Eddy raced with an injured back as well.Pog is the best since Hinault, but he is not in the league of King Eddy, Coppi, Binda, Hinault. I love the way Pog races, he is an exceptional talent, but greatest, nope, light years away yet!

Lots of people, including you, are questionning. But they don't have a shred of evidence to support their "feelings". And who are these other "once in a generation" talents" to whom you allude? If there is more than one, they wouldn't be once in a generation, would they? 🤡
@bakkelsАй бұрын
@@nomdaploom Ah, you sweet summer child. It's not about evidence. Do you have evidence he rides clean? Has this sport not offered us an enormous load of examples of cheating athletes? We're not insiders, we have no proof of anything, so we go by what we see. I loved Pog when he had his breakthrough. Every new rider always deserves the benifit of the doubt imo. Alas, I've also been watching this sport for decades. I have no alterior motive, no specific rider I'd rather see win, but I go by what I see and compare it to the performances I have witnessed the past decades. And I come to the conclusion that this is just beyond ridiculous. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.
@nomdaploomАй бұрын
@@bakkels So by your own admission, the presumption of innocence should be ignored in favour of your feelings? Your question "do I have evidence that he rides clean?" is infantile. The same question can be asked of everyone who competes in any sport. And your assertion that "it's not about evidence" is manifestly risible. How you would squeal and stamp your feet if you ever found yourself in a courtroom defending yourself from a charge and were told this. To paraphrase the great Thomas Sowell, “The problem isn't that bakkels can't read. The problem isn't even that bakkels can't think. The problem is that bakkels doesn't know what thinking is; he confuses it with feeling".

@@nomdaploom It's ironic op makes Santa Clause analogy, but it actually works against him. The burden of truth is on people that believe in Santa, so he's actually in the place of Santa believers.
