Thank you for showing the color before doing the extensions!! I'm a 'consumer' not a professional, and I have no interest in extensions, but I've been watching your videos for a couple years now because I enjoy seeing how color is done. After literally 15+ years of having my hair colored with only Redken, it just hasn't worked well for me for the past 5 years. My stylist finally switched to Goldwell for my last 2 color appts and....wow!! With the Redken I was getting a "rebound" to extremely warm/brassy at the 2-3wk post-color point. Totally eliminated that with the switch to Goldwell color.

I love this content super helpful! Would love to see in a future video how you tackle someone level 5-6 thick coarse hair giving them a lived in blonde. Also How long does a session like this take typically take for you? I feel like something like this takes me 5-5.5 hours total 🙃

We use goldwell and I tone one of my clients with 10P 10V and her baby hairs up front will turn a tint of blue if i leave it for more than five minutes 😅 other than that I agree you gotta leave and let it do its thing or youll rinse too soon! Goldwell Works so great!!!

How long did this take you to do? The foiling itself as well? This whole process normally takes me 3-4 hours. And just foiling sometimes 1.5-2hrs. I feel so slow.

So annoyed with people thinking people “need” extensions. Some don’t use them just for damaged hair.. some want long, thicker, maybe added color. You are amazing Jess! 💕

Does the goldwell cream demi give you issues later on when you have to do a retouch? I’ve used matrix cream demi before and had a little bit of banding

Hi! I have a question… so I always see people that highlight the whole head before rinsing out and I’m a newly licensed cosmetologist. It takes me longer to highlight a full head so if I wait until my last section is done processing to rinse out the hair I’m terrified of melting off a clients hair! And with using shades EQ I feel it always goes darker than I’m intending it to even when I haven’t left it on long. Do you have any advice for a newbie?😂
@michellestewart7613 жыл бұрын
I do have a question…I noticed you used conditioner before toning. I always was taught toning has to be before you condition. Would you explain that please.
@priscillanieto33222 жыл бұрын
She conditions after shampooing lightener for 2 reasons: she usually clarifies after lightening to create the cleanest canvas for toning. To really tone well combing out the hair beforehand is necessary, but trying to comb out lightened & clarified hair without conditioner would be a nightmare. As well, conditioner acts as a barrier so any root tap/shadow/smudge doesn't slide down into the blonde hair. I personally after lightening would use a hydrating/moisturizing shampoo, something very gentle since the hair has just been lightened/compromised that way when I comb out prior to toning without conditioner the hair combs out easier. As well, I wouldn't put conditioner on the ends before toning as even when rinsed out it will have smoothed out the cutical of the hair & the toner won't last as long in the end.

Utah, you can Google her name Jz Styles Salon to get all of her info

Great application. but why didn’t you measure your lightener and developer generally leads to inconsistent lifting and less control with the product. that’s not good look as a fellow educator. 😅
@priscillanieto33223 жыл бұрын
I understand what you're saying and generally agree with you, but she has been eye balling lightener for years now & this is what works for her & she is comfortable with. She mostly uses Goldwell lightener so I would say it is pretty consistent
@chesshutchens71913 жыл бұрын
Perhaps she wouldn’t need the extensions if her blondes weren’t overlapped? Thinking out loud. I’m sure you make good money but the integrity of the hair has to be compromised.
@justjessiiii3 жыл бұрын
How else are you supposed to get lighter without overlapping? She doesn’t “need” extensions, but wants them!🖤
@chesshutchens71913 жыл бұрын
I get it you have to overlap some of the blondes but every foil that was filmed was overlapped some of those ends could be left out. I know you can put extensions over it and it be fine but those extensions will eventually have to be taken out then what will her hair look like? I just think the extensions act as a bandaid. Not really solving the issue at hand. Which is how damaged will that hair be?
@vickijohnson88943 жыл бұрын
Yessss this....also the not weighing of products it's gives inconsistent results 😐
@amandarobbins25303 жыл бұрын
I mean there was a lot of gold in her ends they were still about a level 8, if she wants to be blonder of course they needed to be lightened a bit more otherwise she’d have really nice clean blonde in the top half of her hair and golden ends ?
