The band apparently doesn't realize that almost everyone in the crowd IS actually deaf. I think they thought it was a benefit.

Deaf people can literally feel the music. They use to have things called Deaf Dances back in the 80's where DJs would play for deaf crowds with the bass cranked. They could tell better than us with working ears if the musicians are playing well or if the DJ screwed up.

I was actually at this show and I like Cage the elephant, but they didn't do well at this show. Matt was acting super weird from the beginning and none of them ever really engaged the crowd. It also didn't help that they were first in the line-up so everyone was still working into their groove.
