I haven’t watched this Grammy performance since I was fourteen. I’m now fifty and it gave me as many goosebumps and tears as it did in 1985. Those outfits they’re all wearing look fantastic. Just so beautiful to watch and listen to.

No one has ever been better. Before, during or since. No one ever will be. There was only one Prince Rogers Nelson, and he made sure we got to experience him.

Lived in Minneapolis '79. Even back then, standing on the street in 0-38F temps, waiting for some bus, this guy's billboards were all around me. Prince, you are the best. From the heart. RIP.

Talent with a capital T! Prince was beyond talented, he was iconic.Music was at a different level than it is now, those of us that lived thru it understand. Its hard for anybody in this generation to be comparable to a guy like Prince. This guy was special.

Agreed. I think it’s the best. I just haven’t seen another with this classic line up and overall electricity that this one had. Plus it was fairly perfect with the studio version except one slight lyric mis cue. And the solo was just ripping good. Great tone and he was just on. When he kicked that mic stand over…gave me chills.
