I am in my 70's now and pretty much housebound. Taking this trip with you today has been the highlight of the month. I have you on my big flat screen TV and it's like being there. Thank you for the wonderful adventure. I love you both, and of course the babies. The dog and the cats.

Hi Cory, I just wanted to say that I've always loved watching your vlogs and videos, and recently watching them have really given me joy and hope in life and that I will have a future. My girlfriend recently just broke up with me, and in less than a month I'm moving from Dallas TX to Southern California for college, and that's going to be such a huge change for me; not only living on my own for the first time, but also being so far away from home as well. Even though it's by choice, I couldn't help to be nervous and scared about it, and doing it while being heartbroken doesn't help. But seeing that you've taken a big change, and how happy it's made you, it's truly given me hope that hopefully I'll be feeling the same way, and that this change for me will be exciting and new, instead of scary and dreadful. Thanks Cory for spreading your happiness to others like me. Andrew

What beautiful countryside! Thank you for taking your camera along to show us! That had to be tiresome to go, what 25 miles?, while holding it! Love how you gave up the heads up to the people to look for the mamma moose after you saw the calf. I thought how you captured the second airplane on camera was just so cool. You are so talented to be able to get all of your gorgeous shots, but especially that one. Thank you!

Oh my gosh!!! That place with the chocolate fountain!! My dad's cousin and his family used to live up in Anchorage. We went to visit them once, when I was in like... 2nd or 3rd grade or so (12 or so years ago), and that place with the fountain is one of the places we visited!!! I have a distinct memory of being there all that time ago, even though I had no memory what it was called or where in the city it was!!! Wow. That's so cool that you went there too

I think that because they turned the Earthquake spot into a kind of park and people think of it as a kind of historic spot, but not one that you can't go on, I don't think it would be wrong to metal detect there. Also, thank you for showing us the beauty around you and for giving us another glimpse into the life of Cory. You keep putting up videos and I'll keep watching.

Cory you are making me so Homesick!. I grew up in Juneau Alaska. Moved there when I was 3 and spent 21 years there. It will always be home and I miss it dearly sometimes. However when they say AK is expensive they are talking about places like Juneau. Only way in or out of there is by boat or plane. Thus the prices on every day items are spendy. I am glad you are loving AK. I knew you would!

for all the people that don't see the 71' in the eagle, it's not in the claws it is in the right leg of the eagle above the claw, if you look at the left leg you will see a lot more lines in it, try to compare the left leg to the right leg and you should see it, hope this helps.

Longboarding in with no good plan out is how they make all those mysterious skeletons found in the woods... Nice music cue for dreamy-eyed wonder. Considering how long I've been watching, it's easy to forget that you're a filmmaker. Yes, sure-- I know you spend extra time and equipment on your more serious (albeit occasionally goofy) shoots-- but this is you with a stalk-mounted GoPro and your editing suite. So that's nice. Still very much enjoying these travelogues. Interesting question about detecting. I would ask around, there may be local ordinances against it. But it is salvage. On the other hand, these were businesses and households-- are you ready for what you find? Also, they should be pretty deep, between the original jumble and openings then all these years' overgrowth.

Wow. I totally missed this the first time around. Although I didn't start watching until several weeks after this, I went back to your move when I found your Alaska videos. I've been trying to figure what's different about your videos now (besides the obvious, kids, Oklahoma etc.) These vlogs seem freer. Not just in the sense you had more freedom because you didn't have kids so much, but less overly polished. You just did whatever, and didn't seem like you were so worried about packaging it. I do really miss your exploring. I know that really is something you can't do so much anymore and granted, here you had a whole new place to explore. Still you talked about all the different things in Oklahoma before you moved and we haven't really seen much of it.

ur vlog is addictive! How to explain... hmm... the fact that you LEFT sunny cali and decided to do the ultimate walter mitty journey, not knowing what the hell comes at you next, makes the vlog SOO much more interesting than ... hmm, lets say shayfamilyvlog, or BF vs GF. It's just so much more an adventure, as your camerawork is smooth and without all the silly jumpcuts, and the annoying shouting. It's basically film back to basics. Not flirting with viewcounts or sponsorships and all that BS. JUST a proper glimse into what Alaska is like for you. Bless ya!. Started from ep. 1 and im gonna finish it within 10 days for sure ! :)

That was a beautiful video. I really enjoy exploration trips like that. I often do that myself when I go running or cycling. Just try to find new paths and trails that lead me to places I have never been to before. Just remember to bring enough water with you and a bit of food when you do this. Some money, a phone and a repair kit with spare tubes for your bike don't hurt either. Regarding metal detecting in this place: I don't think it would be wrong, but I would get something like an official permit first, since the area seems to be something like a natural museum or place of remembrance. I would ask someone at the police or city administration first.
@LiveEachDay
@LiveEachDay 10 жыл бұрын
I wasn't too worried about food or water because it was on a fairly busy path. If this were any less traveled then definitely. As for the metal detecting, I'm just going to do some research before I go out today.
