As a detailer, I would see this and ask immediately if I didn't already know what it was. Never do something on a vehicle you're not 100% sure about.

Yes, it is possible, but it definitely takes effort. One product that has been found to help is called Calgon.

Thats just the desert man, its not nearly as bad for me since i live in the middle of Albuquerque but it does build up a thin layer on your car (especially after rain) over a month or 2

You clearly don’t know what the Burning Man Fest is & didn’t hear a word of what he said that was & what it could do. That take HOURS for some people days & months to fully remove from their vehicles & things they took into that desert. It can take HOURS & DAYS for people to get that DUST (not dirt) off their bodies & out their hair. That dust can literally clog you airway, and the corrosion can start just a week or two after if not immediately washed off your vehicles (bikes, car, vans.. all steal an metal) after the festival. So yeah he has a valid reason to “boo hoo, my car is dirty” since that dust if stirred around an a heavy breath of it is taken is can cause complications or a lot of irritation. That’s why they wear mask most of the time during the festival as well.
