I am deeply invested in the Ryobi one plus 18v system and I and not going to invest in any other battery system 40v or USB. I like their tools and appreciate that they are sticking to the 18v system and coming out with new tools. Right now I have just about every tool I will ever need and unless one breaks I am done. I like your channel, very interesting and good info.

I am also heavily invested in 18v one plus. Bought the 12” chainsaw for camping. Love it. I felt the same way as you until I got the 14” 40v chainsaw. It’s a wow. It’s the only 40v I’m interested in but it was well worth it

Honestly the usb line of tool gadgets are worth the invest since every tool comes with a battery and it takes usb C to charge the battery if you don’t want to buy the charger for it.

I'm with you. Deeeep into Ryobi 18v. The only other purchase I have made was a Milwaukee M12 Surge, the little hydraulic impact driver. I certainly did NOT need another drill/driver, but it sure is a cool little tool. 😁

I’m diggin the new little usb lithium speaker. Picked that up with 2 pack of 3ah batteries. I like that you can charge it while you use it. I got into this 4v line the day it was available in stores. I knew ryobi was going eventually make as many tools in 4v as they do with 18v. Been waiting for them to make one of those tennis racket style bug zappers for when im outdoors.

Be careful not to suck anything into this blower input. The propeller is plastic and you will destroy the propeller. I did it and the propeller is nearly impossible to replace.

Been seeing the normal 18v batteries cheaper, which for my purposes is fine. We are looking at the mowers using the 18v battery. Already have a decent amount of those batteries, and our yard is about a 1.4 acre. It would be nice if there was a big wheel version as those just seem to move better.
@adamjames13755 күн бұрын
Do your own research but in my estimation 1.4 acres is way too much lawn for an 18v lawnmower.
@bigkahuna62775 күн бұрын
Yes. Once they came out with the Edge batteries i also noticed that they were deeply discounting the regular and HP batteries.

The barrel grip jig saw seems like a great tool I just really hate that it has that oddly placed switch and a speed dial instead of a simple trigger. I'm perfectly content with my top handle jig saw for now until either DTO makes me a deal I can't refuse or they change the form factor to a trigger.

Ive just moved into an old home with land. I have no power tools but been researching the brands. How do the top of the line ryobi tools compare overall to dewalt and milwaukee? Im mainly needing an impact driver, drill and jigsaw. How does the new barrel grip compare to the new milwaukee barrel grip? Im trying to work out if its worth paying the bit extra for another brand?

I feel that too, but they are definitely getting better and better. And have a good variety. Inexpensive brushed with a regular battery. They have it. Brushless with a high performance battery for more $$. They have it. I have mostly brushless with high performance batteries and I can tell the difference between my brother in laws brushed set up.

@rolandm97503 күн бұрын
I dunno why you think the bucket vacuum is "10x better" than other bucket vacuums? The Ryobi is pretty weaksauce--at 32 IOW and 45 CFM it's weaker than Ryobi's otherwise/next weakest ONE+ vacuum...the 1 Gal Link vacuum. Ryobi was originally saying it was the most powerful bucket vacuum but later changed this to say it's the most powerful *cordless* one, of which it may be the only one out there lol. It seems like it's at least on par with the corded bucket vac that HD sells but that's pretty crap itself--same 45 CFM, only a 4A motor. Lowe's OTOH sells a better one for cheaper ($35) which has an 8A motor can can muster 55 CFM and 38 IOW--still not amazing but probably the actual-best one out there. In any event, the "HP" rating on the HD one is only 1.75hp while the Lowe's one is still only 2hp. And the Ryobi is in the same class as the HD corded one. None are very good and the Ryobi is by no means "10x better" than anything.

Why doesn’t Ryobi make a heated jacket that you can power with either the 18 V or even the 40 V house they have to do is have two big outside pockets and make it so that you can plug the battery in to inside both of the pockets so you can use it as a Pocket or you can plug a battery into one Pocket or even have two batteries one plugged into each bucket even WALLMART has a heated jacket why does Ryobi not make one
@Tony-sy7ed20 сағат бұрын
Because ryobi batteries are just too big due to the post style battery they use, takes up too much room. It would be like carrying a mason jar in your jacket all day, no thanks. I use the Milwaukee heated gear with the m12 power source. 18v batteries make it just too big and heavy to comfortably wear. Walmarts Hart brand uses the flat slide on packs. Ryobi might be getting closer to heated gear with the 4v usb lithium line. The new heated seat they have uses a power source that runs off two 4v batteries. If ryobi started making heated gear using this power source, it would probably be the most convenient heated jacket using power tool batteries.
