This is honestly my first time listening to Dwight Yoakam and I can say I will definitely be listening to more of his music. I thought to myself that Austin City Limits is a great place to start. I am loving watching old live performances and some newer ones. I knew Country could be great but growing up I only heard modern pop country that I did not like. I thought to myself that I needed to explore so I did and its one of the best things I have done for my music curiosity. Im so grateful that this is available for my listening pleasure. This was the revival of a more traditional sound. It was rebellion of what was mainstream in Nashville at the time that Dwight had a hit with this song. Most country hits of the time didn't sound like this.

It's 2021 and I'm watching this admiring Dwight's style, from the cool jeans, jacket, boots and texas neck tie and hat....he really looked great here. Reminds of my exact thoughts when watching my favorite bass player of all time. Ben Orr (The Cars) always looked great, had a cool style all his own. IMO two of the best dressed musicians around. They were the definition of cool!
