Had no idea you could change tempo per phrase. That’s a whole new aspect I’m excited to learn!

For sure! You can make all kinds of crazy sounds digging into the menu like that.

Hey man your vids helped me a lot getting up and running! I'd like to describe another approach: You can also edit all this stuff in the data file on the machine, which some people (myself as a computer nerd) find easier. Theres also an RC 505 editor out there that likelu does this on the computer.

Can you write with the memory mode and use the footswitch only for two tracks at the time, or all five?
@LiveLoopers4 жыл бұрын
I was only able to use my footswitch for one track at a time.

got a question how can i use mutiple TRACK FX effects in the same time, if this is easily possible than is it possible to decide trough TRACK FX OFF/ON whitch of the 3effects is workin like for example: effect 1 goes on track 1,3and5 effect 2 goes on 2and5 effect 3 on 4 ?
@LiveLoopers5 жыл бұрын
I'm pretty sure that is not possible on an RC-505. The best you can do is turn a track effect on and rerecord the effected tracks one at a time. And unless there was a software update that let you use multiple track effects at once there was no way to turn a second track effect on without turning the first one off.

My recorded tracks feels like it changes tempo halfway away from the original rhythm, could be due to the quantize settings?

Hey man! Nice Video, would you be willing to do one on how to setup up the footpedal?

do you guys know how to disable the quantize function ? or what is the best quantize mode ? Because sometime quantize just destroy my melodies

What I used to do was set the channel lengths before the song. Usually I used a setting where the 1st channel was just free and then the second channel depended on the length of the first. Remaining channels could be set based on whether I would want them tied to a specific length or not.

Hi, I am facing a delay in my mic output in the speakers. I am using SONY V4D1 Speakers to connect my Loopstation output. The rhythm is working Fine. But there is a slight delay in mic out. Any suggestions
@LiveLoopers5 жыл бұрын
I've never heard of that. The metronome is coming out with no delay but the microphone has a delay on it? Make sure you don't have any input effects turned on (none of the three red lights on the left side labeled a, b, and c should all be off) to test out removing the delay. The only other thing I can think of is check any possible effects build into your speaker? But I would think that would create a delay on both.

Thanks for the Tips. My slider stopped responding on track 5 , so I sent it to be repaired on my coverage plan that they sell ya in the event it breaks. May 6th I sent it to Jay Collision Repair and as of Julu 19...still waiting for my toy to return. Has your 505 been reliable hardware? Maybe I just got a lemon? You answered a question that I had pondered about write to... Hey LL good looking out!

Hey so here's an annoying question - I've used my RC 505 live in the past with no problems (set bar lengths, pre-loaded drum beat, had a string of song sections that would go into each channel accordingly and switch between with no problem) but now I've tried to start a new track and even though I set the bpm to the one I want, and the loop length to the length I want, I press record on the track and it just keeps going (doesn't stop after 2 bars like I've told it to) and then when I press the button to stop the recording, the unit automatically changes the bpm to some RANDOM shit. No other midi device plugged in. And I can't for the life of me work out why it keeps happening... and I can't find anything online to help = ( I'm sure there is just some feature that I need to toggle off but I can't find it! Can you help?? = (

I will definitely try. I'll ask on our facebook page and see what anyone comes up with.

Got back two possible answers for you: 1. "With a pre-set BPM and loop lengths, turn on "Rhythm" before recording the first loop. It will then stop recording after the loop length u set ( or change to overdub mode ). Does that help you?" 2. "Re-updating (even though you might have the latest version) might work out"

Hey i think i know what you are doing.. so you set a bpm before recording.. lets say 77 bpm, then you hit record and do whatever you do and then end the recording. HOWEVER, unless what you just recorded was at exactly 77 bpm, the machine will AUTO adjust the bpm to the length of that very first recorded loop. So basically you can have the bpm set to whatever, but if your first loop is a different bpm than it, the looper resyncs so that you're loop is on beat. I know there is a setting that would disregard this, however, i actually find it useful, because it helps me get better on BEAT, and if I happen to miss the 77 bpm mark and say i'm at 76.4, it's useful for it to readjust so my loop doesn't become slowly off beat over time. The way, however, to get best chances of actually landing on the EXACT bpm you desire, is to turn the metronome on (rhythm: 'start/stop' button), before you record anything, and record with it playing. Then you can play notes/beat box to the exact "TICS" of the beat, and basically ensure that you will be AT or very close to your desired bpm, unless however, you're horribly off beat even WITH a metronome, which is unlikely... even people without rhythm know how to play a note at the same time as a beep, erm, well... atleast with a little practice... Let me know if that helped or not, i just spent my entire night reading the manual so I'm pretty well versed in this thing right now :) cheers

Can i ask you a question?...it is normal that when i plug my 505 into the pc via the usb port the station goes into Idle? And can i record the sound directly into my daw using the.usb...or should i use the.midi output?
@jevhg77795 жыл бұрын
yeah i wanna know that too
@LiveLoopers5 жыл бұрын
As far as I know you can export your tracks from the RC-505 onto your computer in raw .wav format. Then you can import those wave files into your DAW. Or you can line out from the RC-505 into your computer and record. I'm not familiar with the midi capabilities of the RC-505. Sorry.
