05:31 I've spent WAAAY too much time in that blueprint / schematics room. Just imagining what all the different parts of the ships did. I was, like, 6 years? I didn't know English. But I did know Torpedo Tubes, Blasters, Frigates, Destroyers, Freighters, Troop Transports..... And that a Nebulon-B Frigate dropping out of hyperspace was a VERY imposing sight.

@Todd K Ye, funny thing is, Star Destroyers were a LOT easier to mince than Nebulon B Frigates. For two reasons: its shields could be lowered in matter of minutes by takin' out them shield generators, AND they had a blind spot at the rear between the engines, where no turbolaser turrets were.

I just played Star Wars Squadrons this morning. I have to report that... the blind spot has been fixed. The STD will definitely kill you in any direction if you don't evade.

the Nebulon-B was TOO powerful in the flight sim games... and too brittle in the later strategy games.

There was something so wonderful about these Lucasarts soundtracks from the mid-nineties... I think they gave you a sense of intrigue, or they made your imagination fly. This, TIE Fighter and Dark Forces... wow. Debrief 2. So eerie...

The best PC version i have heard so far! But i still think the Mac version is superior in every way. Sound, Instruments and how they are heard in relation. However a merge between these two shoould be interesting to try out. One thing i would like is the actual "in game battle" music. There are 4 different tracks played. Deep Space theme, Recon Patrolling Area Theme, Engage in Dogfight Theme. All dependend on how far you are from an enemy and how the battle is going.

Where is the ambient music when you are just flying in space (before or after combat, the calm piano part)? Ive been looking for that for a while.

To Be Fair.... That made my homemade LEGO X-Wings more convincing to 7 year old me. Apart from wheels I didn't have movable parts. In fact, I had to make do with generic bright colored bricks and bars from mixed yard-sale pre-war LEGO house sets. So the s-foils stood apart awkwardly parallel, with those small red&black wheels mounted as engines. And the pilot's canopy was made from bright red roof Legos. (The roof Legos even were matte textured to look like ceramic roof tiles)
