President Donald Trump on Monday pardoned former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich, whose 14-year sentence for political corruption charges he commuted during his first term. The Republican president called the Democratic former governor, who once appeared on Trump's reality TV show "Celebrity Apprentice," "a very fine person" and said the conviction and prison sentence "shouldn't have happened."
Blagojevich was convicted in 2011 on charges that included seeking to sell an appointment to then-President Barack Obama's old Senate seat and trying to shake down a children's hospital.

There's a great saying in Indian culture: A man with a loving wife who doesn't leave her husband's side will always win against all odds, that man's wife's loyalty is such a great power that resulted in so much today that he got what very few people get, a full pardon, beating all odds. A huge respect to his wife, seeing such women in the Western World is a rare thing but you see, when you have such a wife, there's nothing that can destroy you, but if you have a bad partner, wife, or husband, you will destroy yourself.

Hard core conservative all my life and I hate 99.99 % of all democrats. But all those years ago, I followed the Blagojevich case closely and at first was happy to see the system take down a Democrat politician. However, I noticed some very strange things happen with Blago and always had questions that the mainstream media failed to address. After watching the case for weeks, I then knew that Blago was set up by his own party and felt he was a victim over BS politics and a weaponized Justice department.

We all saw how Mayor Adams of New York City got accused of various crimes as soon as he questioned the machine. It's no wonder Chicago's mayor doesn't dare go against the machine or else he'll end up like Mayor Adams.

Then when you consider who's state senate seat Blago was accused of selling to the highest bidder... I think it was Obama who was selling his own seat, and they pinned it all on Blago to protect Obama. Obama was in control of the DoJ after all. And he was a new President when all of this was blowing up, so they just wanted it to go away as fast as possible.
@freespeechenjoyer
@freespeechenjoyer 14 сағат бұрын
100% it was to protect the newly elected Obama. This all blew up in December of 2008. Obama had just become President, he didn't want any blowback on him, and he was definitely involved, because it was his State Senate seat that was being sold.
