I was a truck driver for years, and I can tell you that the tractor trailer is NOT what hit the target. The trailer of the 18 wheeler was hit from the side by the vehicle which is now inside the Target. There is NO damage to the front (tractor) of the 18 wheeler. An 18 wheeler can only go about 5 MPH in reverse. There is a seperate vehicle inside the Target. Guaranteed.

I was also a truck driver but in the UK and I was always under the delusion of if the truck losses air the brakes lock on, could some one IE the driver have not put the handbrake on and it got away from him, seen that happen more times than I care to remember. Jim from Scotland

I drive truck and air brakes operate opposite of car brakes if you lose air brakes lock up. So he didn't "lose" his brakes. I can almost guarantee dump truck driver wasn't paying attention and swerved to miss the ass end of that trailer and right into building

Somebody needs to get that female newscaster some glasses. There are obvious signs of damage on the median between the lanes, where something big ran over it on the way to plowing THROUGH the back of that trailer. There are obvious skid marks where the dump truck hit the semi-trailer and the trailer's tires got pushed sideways across the lane, across the sidewalk, and into the wall. As the chopper flew around, the back of a dump truck is clearly shown along with its rear axle.

take a look up the side street, there is an excavator up the side street, my bet truck was full of dirt on that side street and lost control going down the hill then slammed into the back of the tractor trailer and went through the target

Reporting Summary: The truck was driving in reverse and lost control.. Half of the trailer ripped apart off the power pole and slammed into the building causing the hole. They then brought in a large dumpster, put it inside the store, and are filling it with trash bags full of debris..

Originating at the construction site at the end of 71st street, that dump truck picked up as much speed as possible slamming into that Target Store. The dump truck driver had bad timing as the semi truck was in the right place to foil the dump truck's inertia. Also obvious is the fact that the power pole stopped the semi truck's trailer after being pushed off the street by the dump truck. Was this a deliberate act or an accident?

Another thing, pause this video @5:04 Look at the skid marks. It shows right there that something hit this truck at the rear axles pushing the whole thing into the Target Store. This don't make any sense at all. How can a tractor trailer slam into a building like this? It can't. Something else happened here. The rear axles are gone from under the trailer, properly in the building. So something had to hit this truck on the left side to drive the tires into the building. These trucks can not backup that fast. Hey Fox, before you put these type of statements out, do your homework and ask questions. This is reporting is disgusting.
