The story of Egypt is very simple. Ever since the military overthrew King Farouk in 1952, they adopted a mentality that Egypt is theirs. It belongs to them. This mentality was born then and kept being transmitted to generation after generation within the Military. Think of it as a religion. That ideology of them owning the country led them to steal all of its wealth and resources over the past 60 years. All military generals are granted top positions within the civilian world after leaving the military. They run politics by directly running the country, they run the economy, they run education to always guarantee that generations will be brought up and taught that everything they have, everything they ever will have, the air they breathe, they owe it all to the military. Hell they even have teams in the Egyptian football league. This is the truth about Egypt. It will ALWAYS be run by the military. The January 25th revolution only succeeded because the military wanted it to. They were the one's who forced Mubarak to resign on the 18th day, taking advantage of the tens of millions of Egyptians who had finally revolted. At the time the vast majority of Egyptians thought that the military was finally standing by it's people. Little did they know, the only reason the military had left Mubarak's side was because Mubarak had left theirs. 30 years is a long time to rule a nation. And 10-15 years into his reign, Mubarak had taken off his military uniform and started surrounding himself with business men. Military generals were no longer the one's assuming all positions of both political and economical power. They wanted back what they saw was rightfully theirs, the positions of power, and saw the revolution as the best opportunity to achieve this. Then there was Mubarak's plans of having his son Gamal become president after him, which was disastrous for the military. At the end of the day, Gamal was never in the military. How can a non-military man be the General Commander? To them this was not going to be allowed to happen. After all, Egypt's president since the overthrowing of the king, for a whole 60 years, had always been a military man. The brotherhood's taking over following the revolution was another event that happened with the absolute blessings and coordination of the military. They knew exactly how disastrous the Brotherhood's rule of Egypt would be, and had all the tools to make sure everybody felt it (the mass media to name one). The people revolted against the brotherhood, rightfully so, the military appeared in the role of angel and saviour, announced publicly that they had no interest in ruling Egypt again, overthrew Morsy, then decided that "it was a very critical and dangerous phase" for Egypt and they found it their patriotic duty to rule Egypt again to protect it from the 195 countries in the world that want to destroy us. The uneducated masses had suffered in the brotherhood era and welcomed the army's return with open arms. Their mission was successful; prevent Gamal from becoming president, get rid of the Brotherhood as a political entity for good, and re-instill the ruling of Egypt for another couple of decades. Only this time they'll have learned from their mistakes, and make sure that a "catastrophe" like the revolution of the 25th would never happen again. And if by some miracle it ever does, Syria will look like a joke.
@2764rmouradian7 жыл бұрын
Hisham Tantawi this is very interesting. Do most Egyptians know this or support the military ruling? Or is it divided with big parts still hoping for Muslim brotherhood rule? Thank you for the education.
@UthredOfBamburgh7 жыл бұрын
2764rmouradian Thank you for reading. The people have been led to believe for decades that without military rule, their safety would be compromised. As if a military only fulfills its duty of protecting it's nations borders and people if it is also politically ruling the country. That's why you'll find ironically that, of course besides the wealthy and corrupt, the vast majority of the military's ruling support is from those who suffer the most from the consequences of such rule, who also happen to be the vast majority of the population. That's the genius of the Egyptian military. They managed to secure the support of tens of millions of people who are the most oppressed. As for the brotherhood I can tell you that their support has weakened incredibly, and even those who still support them know very well that there's no return. So you have a vast majority with military rule, a small minority supporting the brotherhood, and millions of others who know exactly what's going on but remain silent because they are convinced nothing can be done at this point.
@2764rmouradian7 жыл бұрын
Hisham Tantawi thank you for responding. It's a complicated world I wish the best for your country and peace and prosperity for the future. Peace. Take care.
ayman khatib That's exactly it, keeping people in the dark and flipping false to truth and vice versa is a key weapon for regime's like ours and yours to remain in power. The Syrian situation now is very complex and almost impossible to understand, although I believe it roots from a similar scenario as that of Egypt. From what I know Syria is another country lead widely by military generals, and regimes like that would do anything to not give away power. Best of luck for Syria and it's great people, I have no doubt that one day they will prevail.

Jesus Christ is not a liar, he is a prophet sent by God to call his people to monotheism that there is no god but God, as Muhammad sent the same message, and therefore we must go to the real religion, which is Islam, because Christianity, which used to call for the oneness of God, was distorted and the Christians believed that Jesus is a god, and therefore I want you to learn about the religion of Islam and understand it, and I am sure that everything in your mind is answered by Islam, I know very well that this message is after 6 years, but I think God loves you because he made me enter this video and enter the comments then see your comment and send you this message after all this time
@rogermetzger733511 ай бұрын
@@eslamsalahza123 Even in the United States (where I live), when most people use the word, "Christianity", they are referring to a religion based more on traditions than on what Moses, Jesus or the other Hebrew prophets wrote or said. I have a copy of The Meaning of the Holy Qur'an by Abdullah Yusuf Ali and I have read it. It is my understanding that Islam teaches that the Qur'an cannot be translated so I think of my copy as being a paraphrase. My religion is personal - not institutional - so I'm free to adopt any doctrines or practices I consider to be valuable, regardless of the source. In English, the word, "god", is defined as anything or anyone who is worshipped. We capitalize that same word when referring to the creator of the universe. Is it true that the only word in Arabic for "God" is Allah? If so, I'm comfortable referring to him that way. You may be interested to know that I evaluate and interpret anything purported to be special revelation by earlier revelation. I don't eat pork, for example (which I think Muhammad prohibited) but my choice in that regard is based on the revelation through Moses. In that way - and some other ways - I think of my religious beleifs and practices as being closer that those of the Hebrew patriarchs than to many of the traditions that are widely considered Christian. I believe Jesus is divine and that he was the active agent in the creation of life on this planet but it would be a mistrepresentation to describe me as considering him to be "a god".

Danny Krinkle I think he's just a couple years younger than Bernie, think about that. Ha ha.

Fun Fact: Trump is older than all 3 previous presidents Clinton, Bush and Obama spanning 24 years of leadership. That's right he is olden than the guys who ruled you for the last years and that did not stop him from shitting in your face even as old as he is.

A political campaign leaves the candidate with a lot of stress. The many rallies he did everyday must have left him drained.

Does anyone notice that trump uses the diamond signal with his hands that signifies a gay greeting. Ha Ha Ha the jokes on him. Or maybe he is sending out signals for a man to join him ?

america would go bancrupt without wars, that's the only way they can afford petroleum, by stealing, and keeping their economy from going into more reccessions, since they are already 100% in debt. your government have made you into beggers, and a war mongering nation.

Thats exactly why America is hated in the middle-east. We talk about Democracy and support dictators and keep them in power. The guy sitting there imprisoned more people in one year than in the past 10 Mubarak and Mursi.
