Ya for sure, a perfect little home for them. I did see some faint tracks right at the end of Elbow Lake. I wanted to see one, but I didn't want to see one😊

This is wellness for the soul. What a beautiful area with so much variety! You captured it so well. Love your story telling and the calm music, too. My wife and I are planning to visit Canada for the third time next year. Because of your informative and impressive videos Kanaskis Country is definitely one of our new main targets. We did not have this area on the radar last time in fall 2022. Thank you so much, Cary!

Wow, thank you so much for your beautiful comments. Kananaskis Country is an awesome area, and a lot less people than the national parks😁 I will keep the videos coming so you will have lots of hikes to choose from next year😊

@@LIVEONALBERTA Looking forward to it! This area is really interesting and appears to be underestimated. Your point about less people there is a major plus: As beautiful as the spots in the NPs might be, they've become less attractive to me because everything is so overrun. So alternatives are very welcome. Especially for people who really wanna enjoy nature by going out on a hike instead of just blocking parking lots and causing traffic jams for an insta photo. The knowledge and tipps of locals like you are so valuable! Alberta seems to have so much to offer. Why just keep to the main spots when there's someone who points you to the hidden gems 😉

There are a few very popular trails in Kananaskis that can get quite busy, but there are so many to choose from. I try to avoid the really busy trails😁

Cary you truly capture the true beauty of the area, awesome video. We have done both Edworthy & Rae Glacier, it's amazing country. We did Jumpingpound Summit yesterday & had a great hike. Karst Springs is next on our to do.

I did this hike last year and simply beautiful. However, on the way back from the trail me and my friend and tried to find that trail going to Rae Glacier, and we just couldn't find it. I definitely will be heading out there to do some camping.

THIS ONE HAS BEEN ON MY LIST! I'm so glad to see this video! Is there another way to the bottom of the falls? That steep bit looked a bit too sketch for dad and I. Those valleys are *so* pretty, I'd be so happy to just go see those.

It is such a beautiful hike Emma. I didn't see another way down to the falls. the camera makes it look worse than it is. If you have poles and take it slow you should be able to do it. If not there are spots to sit on rocks close to the creek in the meadow to have lunch. I enjoyed the hike and the scenery more than the falls😁

@LIVEONALBERTA
@LIVEONALBERTA Жыл бұрын
Thank you so much😁. My bear spray is called Sabre Wild, I got it at Canadian Tire for around $50. I would also recommend getting a holder for it that you can hang on the front of your pack, or around your waist. It should be easily accessible, not in your pack. Welcome to the hiking family.

@@LIVEONALBERTA No I was trail clearing some large dead fall on the tom snow about 2 kms east of dawson, I cleared some along there the other week but it got to hot, I cleared all the dead fall and cleared lots of brush on the cox hill route the other week, it soon grows over the trail. that should all be nice and clear now for the next couple of years, took me a long time to summit cox hill as there was so much to cut mostly in the lower sections.
