Hi Dr G! Thank you for all the great information! One thing that might make it easier to find questions, is ask everyone to put a question mark at the beginning of the question. We do this in a few of my other groups when they do lives. And if they happen to miss a question, they just tell us to resubmit. 😊 Happy New Year!🎉

Dr Esselstyn recommends chewing your greens rather than drinking them. What are your thoughts?

Results what counts. That's what she goes on.

She did say don’t need to chew it. Do just like she shows.

She has proven results over 15+ years and thousands of people that the hyper-nourishing smoothies work to heal the body of almost anything. Even Dr Michael Greger has changed his mind about her smoothies.

Dr Bulsiewicz and The Gut project recommend at least 30 different plants per week. I have found this difficult, even before hypernourishing. What is your take on plant diversity?
@juliashearer78422 жыл бұрын
Maybe try asking this in the live chat during next Wednesday's live q and a. Good question. 🙂

Spices count! (and are encouraged.)
@patticurry565 Жыл бұрын
I easily get diversity by using a box of 6+ varieties of mixed salad greens, different types of cruciferous veggies, adding all kinds of vegetables to salads such as tomatoes, carrots, celery, mixed colors of sweet peppers, cukes, radishes, red cabbage, green cabbage, onions, avocado, etc., as well as a mix of sprouts. Plus the fruits and chia/flax in the smoothies.

Dr G What is your take and advice on liver and gallbladder flushes? I’ve been researching about fasting and want to go for two weeks. I had fibroids and had a hysterectomy Aug 2021 and can’t lose weight. I’ve eliminated animal products and will indulge 10% of the time. Im considering making your smoothies.
@patticurry565 Жыл бұрын
She is not in favor of fasting - you need hyper-nourishment to get well quickly , it won't cause weight gain and may help you lose because you won't be eating anything unhealthy. I have done many liver and gallbladder flushes and can say, no, you don't want to be ingesting 1/2 cup olive oil.

Asking for auto immune issues.. Do you use groubd flax or whole seed? I can’t find this info anywhere… Help please..
@patticurry565 Жыл бұрын
You use whole flax seeds that grind up along with the greens and fruit in the smoothies by using a VitaMix or BlendTec high speed blender. If you don't have one, use a seed or nut grinder to make it fresh and add to a regular blender. Definitely don't buy flax meal - you want it very fresh.

Can i hypernourish even when I am pregnant? Is the large amount of flaxseed be harmful when I am expecting?
@patticurry565 Жыл бұрын
Yes, many do the program while pregnant and the flax is not at all harmful. Your baby will be very healthy! 23:52 of this video starts a question about doing the program while pregnant. You can also do a search of her channel for 'pregnancy'.

Hi Dr. G my 2nd question is there a limit on the amount of eating nuts like Cashewnuts, Almonds
@patticurry565 Жыл бұрын
Yes, these are not allowed while hyper-nourishing. It is my understanding, from what I have heard her say, that other nuts have an imbalance of Omega 6 to 3 and offset the ratio of the flax or chia so are not allowed because you want the anti- inflammatory properties of the flax/chia.
@christisking777 Жыл бұрын
I've heard her talk about this many times and made note of it: If you're hyper nourishing you can have some nuts a day, a handful is a good amount. But if you are trying to reverse disease or lose weight and you are on the GBL protocol (Goodbye Lupus) the only nut / seed allowed is chia or flax. She doesn't recommend any added oil (other than flax and chia) at all for either protocol.

I used a straw for years and now I have what looks like smoker’s wrinkles around my mouth, despite never smoking. I think you’ll regret using a straw when you get into your 50’s and 60’s. Your camera or Wi-Fi on KZbin needs adjusting/improving.
@patticurry565 Жыл бұрын
My thought too. I have them from wearing braces as an adult and swishing water through my teeth. But, after 3 years of drinking the smoothies and not using a straw, my teeth are fine.
