They gave me great sedation medicine and you really won't feel anything. Mine went just fine. Good luck and you will be ok .

Andrea Ontiveros....you probably got a drug called "Versed" (Midazolam) a.k.a "Milk of Amnesia" LOL!

When you talk about the stages of the liver....does that mean they’ll get all that info with the biopsy? Which stage would be considered the worse? With the worse one do you automatically bring up liver transplant? Thank you

im 40, live in northern ky nxt to cincinnati and an going to the areas largest hospital to get this done tmrw. im scared of feeling it. if they can sedate me somehow im cool, but i saw a middle eastern doc on here saying that only local was given cause they need u to do certain breaths

Do they give you sedation and pain medication when doing a biopsy and what are the medications used ? I am having one done next week and am a little scared of the procedure.

They give you medication IV for stress first and then when they take you back they give you strong sedation medication through your IV. You really do not feel the numbing medication at the site of the biopsy and you really cannot feel that at all. It is only a scary before you have it done because you have not had that procedure done before. You will do well. Good luck.
