Growing up in the Old Fort Prescott Street 1972-79 this is my era. Brought a lot of memories back. Liverpool stil a bomb site old men in pubs old women in the market and posters we use to peel off whilst still wet and stick them on our bedroom wall. There was still dignity with poverty in Liverpool in those days.

Yup , my Dad proved it back in 1971 when he left the Merchant Navy and started his own Business’s ;)

Great video the 2 old fellas sitting in the pub the one on the left his name is Tommy he sat with my nan for years in a pub my mum and dad run called the croxteth on lodge lane.

@@johngeddes4863 The public baths went. The public library went and the other public houses went. It won't be long before that one goes. They like mosques and kebab houses in that community, not public houses

7:26 Paddington comprehensive school on the left as it was known then and the mount Vernon pub. Grew up in Kenny and Drank in their a few times. Looking towards the university and Cathedral.

Yes and Earle Road School was still there, I used to live in Cantsfield Street which is sadly no longer, its underneath the new School. Also I lived in Corney Street and the Earle Marshall is still there but No Mulliner,Salisbury or Waldek turned into student flats. The amount of pubs that closed when they banned smoking is such a shame.

@@stephenjones9153 i agree! i loved the Mulliner too many lost Pubs in Liverpool the Spofforth was good as well and The Earl (the dead house)
