Milner started to team up with Fabinho to recover the ball faster and add an extra defensive element for the counter attacks of Real Madrid. I think it worked in the first half, liverpool kept a clean sheet and created chances from the balls won in the middle of the field. Thiago doesn’t have the pace to cause good pressure.
