This is probably the greatest organ in the UK and may even beat St John the Divine in New York. It's power is undeniable. Loved this performance - superb pace and phrasing, bringing out the colours and range of this fantastic instrument. Love the Bombarde pedal!!

Norman Cocker' one-hit wonder: Tuba Tune. It sits right up there with the Cook Fanfare. Nicely done on England's finest instrument.

Got to love the pedal at 3:38, the most bombastic and yet glorious sound climax, to lead into the ending. ( He could have easily let the sound echo another five seconds there.) Possibly the biggest pedal sound I have heard yet ! :-)

@adrian: too fast? Poulter's recording is pretty much a 'consensus' tempo, almost identical to others I have heard including D'Arcy Trinkwon at Doncaster Minster.

What a shame that there is interference in the recording, otherwise Liverpool Cathedral organ is magnificent.

My favorite organ in the world. However, the recording leaves much to be desired.

Considering that the recording was made with a camcorder, the quality is rather good. Of course a professional set-up would have given a better sound, but a private recording is not intended for sale to the public so does not have to be state-of-the-art.
