The fact that he’s bessie’s with Bellingham is a red flag, just in terms of Jude seeming like a bit of a blurt. His ego outweighs his ability and I wonder if Trent has a bit of that about him. Trent has a pathway to being captain for his boyhood club, he will be just another player at Madrid.

It’s such a weird one this season cos my only expectations was for slot to implement his style, make it work and get top 4 and a cup. Now all of a sudden the pressure is really on and it feels like if we don’t win the title we would have failed. Yes we wont need to get 90 points but the last two games have hurt us. Overall we’ve been poor the last 3 games and I’m hoping this is our blip. It’s got to the stage now where we have to win The next 4 100%. I don’t care how many injuries we have now we just have to go on a run and if we do we can pull away.

Great performance with 10, not the result we wanted but we're showing we have the DNA of a team capable of silverware. PS thankful for Beth to actually acknowledge Trent's performance. So many examples season after season of a lack of defensive awareness and willingness to track back.

Our players do seem to be getting clobbered in early stages of games and refs let them get away with it so other teams do it more. Didn't see Robertson getting clobbered and motd didn't show it either but i did see pereira deliberately raking his studs down gravs achilles heel and only got a booking for it. And next min he scores. Once i saw that i knew it was going to be one of those days. And then robbo gets sent off.

It shouldn't have been a red. The ball was heading towards Van Dyke, meaning he would be a cover. Notwithstanding the fact they had a goal scoring opportunity. The ref allowed play to go on, giving them a goal scoring opp, then pulled play back to give them a FK, and sent Robbo off. madness.
@chrisstockton40667 күн бұрын
Neil’s Farley’s Rusk joke deserved more credit. I think our understanding of league seasons have been skewed with how we’ve competed against City over the years. It shouldn’t have to take 90+ points to win a league. This seasons seems like a ‘normal’ season. The fact that we haven’t dropped points with our run of games, injuries etc since the international break is really impressive. We’ve sorted out the Champions League early, hopefully it’s full throttle for the league now. Let’s get these contracts sorted, invest in the squad and give this league a real go.
@dannylowry47436 күн бұрын
I have been thinking we should be looking for something different at LB for a couple of seasons now, not just because of the last game. Imo, he really misses Mane on that side with his work rate and tracking back - not to say Diaz and Gakpo do not work back, but Mane was particularly good at it. I don't think we can afford to lose his presence in the dressing room, but I'm not sure he'd be willing to accept a squad role.

Chelsea are right on our coat tails and they have the squad to cope. We need to do business in January.

I don’t think we have helped ourselves after the city win.. the back to back draw with a game cancelled has sort of made the momentum stop.. that Tottenham game is another challenge.. if we show up defensively especially away from home, I think we win.. they key for us always has been to score first especially away from home.. its very hard to win a game while chasing .. to further add on we can’t be chasing games like Southampton, Newcastle, Fulham every week matches like last year.. I seriously hope we get more control in games going forward.. with Tottenham they will go out all attack, that game is there for the taking if we show up defensively .. with Tottenham having their 2 cbs out , we have to get a result despite them having great attacking threats in son, kulisevski, Maddison, they can still do some damage but we have to get a result .. we have to still go on a winning it’s as simple as that.. i just hope we take advantage of this situation for once man.. league and champions league should be priority

Our left back was sent of , yet all of Fulham's goal threat was coming from the right hand side. What does that tell us ? TAA was absolutely horrific , particularly in the 2nd half. Don't care whether he wants to stay or he wants to go, but if the off-field stuff is affecting his on-field performance , Trent's needs to benched. As long as he is with the club, I expect him to put an effort and not fucking run slower than the referee when we conceded the 2nd goal, which by the way, ALSO came from his side of the pitch. Hopefully Slot will have a 1 : 1 with him to clear the air but Trent was absolutely embarrassing. During the game, Virgil visibly remonstrated against him at least 2 times, if not more.

Time for FSG to step up in January. We'll never have a better chance of winning the title than this season. I know it's hard getting players in jan but we need a CB, LB an CDM to get us over the line. We've been wobbly since konate got injured, robbo as much as i love him is absolutely finished at this level his legs are gone and he's making big, point costing mistakes every game and as slot clearly doesn't fancy endo we desperately need cover for gravenberch who is being ran into the ground. I've been a TAW supporter for a decade now, but this was the most disappointing discussion. First time Trent's name is mentioned, "his performance was shocking." Yet Robinson, who is currently in the middle of another poor season, who was RIGHTFULLY red carded, he gets excuses made for him. It's quite interesting as to why Robinson always gets grace for his performances, but when Trent is bad, there is no wiggle room. I find that very interesting.

You can hear the resignation in the voices of these guys. They know this Liverpool team is not winning trophies this season. It's the same tired old squad from last season with cheap owners who have refused to strengthen. This team can't win games right now, and will lose at Southampton and get a drubbing at Spurs this weekend. Liverpool unlikely to win a game in the whole of December. "Experience tells me that trying to win 3 or 4 trophies ruins you" - didn't seem to impact Man City when they did it, or Man Utd in 1999, how did it ruin them that season? The reason Liverpool don't have players available at the back is because of the cheap owners refusal to sign any players in the summer. Why was that he case if they are invested in Liverpool's success in winning trophies?

On Robertson, that’s a sending off and two penalties given away in his last six or seven games. We’re seeing the inevitable slid and we should look to move him on next summer after hopefully bringing in his long term replacement in January. On Trent, he should be out of the team if not signing. On average TAA gave around 13 G/A a season, but Slot has far less focus on the full backs and his numbers have dipped hugely this year. He simply is not worth the amount his wants to LFC and we should move on from him asap. The only reason he should step out on the pitch is if Bradley is injured and we should also take the vice-captaincy away from him imo.
