I like this guy, he's focused on the task at hand, preparing well and winning games, the other stuff is extra. He doesn't want to big up players too much, keep his foot on the ground bcos he knows there will be tough losses. He talks about the good and the bad. Good start from him.

I like the overarching approach Slot is working on to improve the players. I guess another idea that could add to that is making the Latino players learn English. It was weird seeing players coming and going without learning the language, unlike so many other teams. I believe that this mental development will yield some positive results on the pitch.

For those who are confused how boxing would help in football - any form of combat sports is agility training 🫡 The coordination of movement of legs with swift changes of body direction is same as in football.

As much as I hate violence, it's worth learning how to defend yourself. I used to be bullied a bit at school (red hair, freckles, glasses and braces - get in line!) so I started learning karate. When one of the bullies heard about it, he confronted me in the locker area and attacked me. I decked him. He tried to shake my hand the next day saying "good fight!" but I just told him to eff off. That was the end of the bullying, though. I quit karate after I got my orange belt as I hated the gradings. I had to actually fight others in the class to pass! 😲😂

I think boxing is one of the most difficult kinds of sport technically. You need to move your body, make steps, you should keep eye contact and also try to punch your opponent. And you do this at the same time
