Craig, just for once will you give the owners a break! They maybe absent but just look at that board structure that they have put in place. With a structure like that they can be absent as much as they like. When are you going to acknowledge that they have been fine stewards of our club on the whole apart from the super league fiasco! They bought us for song and our current value is simply down to them. They are very good business men and have turned the club around with world class facilities, stadium rebuilding and I feel that their current model for buying players is just shrewd, simple as that! 😊

Diaz doesn't assist much. I think Diaz assist output would rise if he played on the right. He would have no choice but to cross it most of the time instead of cutting in and being relatively ineffective in terms of scoring. Gakpo on the left. Its unreasonable for a right-footed winger with the talent of Diaz not to be tried on the right and also for the player not to want to expand their front line skills. If Diaz stays, I would make him rotate with Salah.

I wonder why people are infatuated with goals. Gabko's goal against Romania was sheer mistake of the defender and goalkeeper. Gabko is a hardworking bulldozer with the least I.Q. Fabrigas rightly defined him as the most uncreative footballer that couldn't play without instructions. He has no positional discipline and technical ability to positively impact the team. That's my sincerest opinion on Gabko.

Gakpo's favourite position is shared by Diaz. Jota and Nunez can also play on that left side, in fact I would prefer to see nunez playing on that left, instead of the main striker position. Gordon is a good player, it has all been said before about being a Liverpool fan yadda yadda. How many others have we seen like this? The left hand side is overstocked and Gordon is not needed. So, I suggest it is a right sided, left footed attacker. Bakayoko, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia or Kudus. I don't see Kudus being released for a fee that is within the spending limits of FSG. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is another that I would love, but just can't see FSG going this way. One last player is Nico Williams. Fantastic player, someone I could see in a red shirt lighting up the Prem. Again, I don't have confidence in FSG. No doubt Edwards/Ward have their eyes on others, so time will tell. As for Liverpool/FSG slow to the ball atm I can only suggest, and hope, that the players we are interested in, are either still at the Euros or have just been knocked out.

I think Gakpo can do a job up front but he needs a run on the left more. I mean it's hard coz we have other 1st teamers on the left. Gakpo imo is best when he picks the ball up around the half way line and runs towards goal like at his old club watch the vids. Driving at the goal carrying the ball for a long way with the counters. Yes he can play up front but I think its not his game. That last game for us his touch was so poor up front as maybe he has too much to think about while out left he can do what he is good at more.
