Mac has also been excellent for playing out of position. That holding midfield role is not easy and not many can do it well especially in the EPL where it’s so fast paced. I think Mac has honestly been as good for us as Szobo but in a less aesthetically pleasing way. Szobo is a little more graceful on the ball though I’ll admit.

If Liverpool can beat City head to head, and not drop points against the mid-table teams they have in the past, it could be a good title race between Liverpool and City this season. The great thing about Liverpool 2.0 is they've refound the mentality to keep going to the end and find late goals even after going behind or getting players sent off.

Endo or Bajcetic, maybe even Gravenberch will probably be the 6. The thing is Liverpool have so many options in midfield and attack now. Even in defence there's decent cover. It might be a good season

Endo and Bajcetic both need time to adjust (considering our other two midfield starters are new). Especially Bajcetic as he is yet to play a full season yet and considering his age. Gravenberch is more of a 8 (brought in to replace Thiago). We need a solid 6 and a CB

I am not convinced that Bajcetic is such a natural 6, for the defensive side of the game, albeit he could easily develop into one. That is also true about Macca. So Klopp has three 6's right now. Obviously it would be nice to have a young specialist DM on the roster, but the situation is pretty reasonable at the moment.

It's still the same defence that won the league and champions league and got to another final and a europa league final before that. They're good players. It will come once defence and midfield are in tune. The front 3...pick any of the 5 it is devastating.

Fair point. Liverpool's opposition so far has not been easy, but they have not gone up against any of the four most in form clubs yet. And that statement is even more true about Man City, whose only serious opposition was Newcastle so far, whom they defeated by a narrow margin as did Liverpool. We should not assume that either club will walk right over Tottenham, Brighton, Arsenal. Both teams have to prove it on the pitch.

Stefan Bajcetic is the heir apparent to the no 6 position, has all the attributes and then some and was starting there last season. Higher ceiling than Caicedo many think. Klopp just needs to feel he can trust him in the new system I think, so is easing him back in via the Europa league and the cup competitions.

I think the long play is to bring Endo and Bacjetic into that holding mid role later in the season to really keep teams out of the box but until it becomes a major problem we will kick in like this. I do think they’ll both play a big part later in the season for sure.

The traditional Canadian board gool and assist liens towards Maddison but Szoboszlai has much stronger impact on the team sofar. I think Szoboszlai is more valuable ATM than Maddison.

Standard answer, let in fewer goals. As if the defence is crap. City have let in 2 fewer than LFC. Liverpool have yet, in all matches, let in a goal second half. The attack is great, Ali stops about everything. And the chopped and changed back line is better than many, including the media who have to find fault somewhere, think.Up the Reds.

I think if Liverpool get an athletic defensive midfield who has power and can cover the ground and offer the defence real protection, then Liverpool are real contenders. I think Macalister is not defensive minded enough and I think Endo at 30 is not athletic enough to deal with bigger faster Premier League attackers.

The white Robbie is a very good analyst. Gomez must keep his place. If Klopp drops him to reinstate that donkey, Alexander-Arnold The Great, it will set him back. Gomez needs to have a run in the first-team.
