I loved Klopp's intensity, passion and exciting football and what he did for the club in terms of standards and the squad will never be forgotten but I do think it was the right time for him to leave which is the cherry on the cake as he knew it aswell. The squad was so good that Klopp's playing style was unsustainable for the standards that he himself set within the squad and club and needed a somewhat more pragmatic manager to truly utilise the players strengths, which I like to believe Klopp knew which was why he was shifting his squad to a more possesion-based style over recent years with players who are better on the ball like Gravenberch, Mac Allister etc. We saw last year that the players didn't have the energy to stay at 100 in every match of every competition in a footballing landscape that demands so much more energy out of footballers than ever before. This for me, if true, makes Klopp an even bigger legend, he didn't stay long enough to become the villian, he left a hero.
@Mcqlfc2 ай бұрын
@@MOONGREEDY Well said and you are exactly right. We started to become to fragile at the back and needed to be a bit more defensive sometimes. We still have the fire power to destroy anyone and Slot seems to like letting them off their lead when the moment is right.

When i was young i watched arsenal for 16 years, and the best thing we did in that time, was we were the ones who ended the great liverpool side. 4 leagues in those years were great, but the no1 thing i loved in those years was that arsenal were the ones who ended the great liverpool time on top of english football Thats because of the respect i have for liverpool, and i understand there fans I miss standing on north bank at highbury Our two leagues against liverpool was better for me, then our two leagues against alex fergusons man utd cheats. I always applaud liverpool for the team they were, and i always will love that the player who scored the goal that ended the run of the great liverpool, parul merson grew up beside where i went to high school in london. Liverpool were such winners in those years, and i love that it was us arsenal in years i watched arsenal that ended the great liverpool, as i had enormous respect for the team, and who liverpool were, and i am talking about the fans who stand on the kop. Thats who liverpool were, and still are. Liverpool is still a community club, even though they are one of the worlds biggest teams. Unlike other teams, who have thrown away there connection to there community, liverpool are still the local people, and i will always admire that they stayed at anfield, and kept that connection to there base that liverpool has, the community is which anfield is.

@Dragonhead88683 ай бұрын
It’s a weird take tbh and I’m no Mourinho fan. Hated him for many years when he was at Chelsea, but this is the one time where his praise is honest as ever. Anybody who knows football knows that you need some form of tactics to win a game, especially to nullify a Barca team full of word class players and to overcome a 3-0 deficit. He didn’t say there wasn’t ANY tactics involved, he just said it was about the heart and belief in which Jurgen instilled to the team since day one of becoming the manager. Which is 100% true. That never giving up mentality isn’t about tactics as such, it’s about belief that you can do it. Again it’s a weird take and if you got that from what Jose said I can’t help you. Up the reds.
