It is the best time to play Arsenal. They will have key players out through suspension and injury. Us beating them will not be the end of the title run for Arsenal. There's only 8 games played. But, losing to us will really dent them. We will see how good Slot is once this year is out. Before 2025 arrives we play a very good Villa, Man City and the best team in Europe/the world, Real Madrid. Souness is such a dinosaur when it comes to tactics, and he clearly doesn’t watch much football! Liverpool have had more possession in literally every game this season before Chelsea but Graeme is going ‘oh I don’t see that’ 😂 Slot changed his tactics for this game knowing Chelsea are at their most dangerous in transition fast breaking on teams, so he surrendered the ball to them and as you could see he told our forwards not to press like crazy from the front and let their defenders pass around themselves which is where a lot of their possession of the ball was had, even in trying to surrender possession Liverpool still had 45% overall. Was brilliant tactical management by Slot and also showed how much respect he has for Chelsea/Maresca especially in attacking transitions. Souness seems and gets very bitter towards anything that happens that he didn’t predict i.e. Slot starting well when he was appointed, I believe Souness described it as very underwhelming at the time 😂

All this talk of player legal action over too many games is complete rubbish! If the players genuinely wanted to play less then there’s a very simple resolution; next time they negotiate a contract, insist to your club that there’s a clause which says they can’t play over x number of games or x number of minutes. If enough players at the highest level did this, it would become commonplace in the game and become the norm while filtering down to the lower levels of the game. This won’t happen though, because the clubs would push back and say “if we’re only allowed to play you in x number of games, we’re only paying you x (which would be a pay cut to what they were on before). Players would never accept a pay cut, or anything other than their usual huge pay rise! Players want more and more and more but want to give less. Selfish tw4ts! Then it’s up to the club to manage their minutes appropriately and prioritise which games/competitions they choose to play them in. This would then mean that clubs would be forced to give more opportunities to squad players/youth players in their place and we would end up getting more youth players succeeding at their respective clubs.
