One night in a nightclub made me loose all respect for this man. Aquarium back in the day some guy accidentally bumped into him and immediately apologized, dude became unhinged and wanted to batter the gut smh to this day i cant fathom why he would carry on like that. I met Frank Bruno in a club back in the day Legends off Burlington st and you couldn't of found a more humble guy, no fanfair just him on his todd moving so respectfully through the crowd, it was admirable.

He got 2 birds pregnant at same time, think Conor an Harley are born a week apart, best mates with Tony Tucker, Essex Boys , I went to see his last fight against Collins

Love Nigel Benn. Nigel was no Boxing Chessmaster. He just wanted to knock his opponent clean out every fight. If AJ had half the aggression of a Nigel Benn he would have been a top top heavyweight. Just glad he is still fit and healthy he was a proper Warrior.

Benn always lived in Eubanks shadow and could never accept it.

What a man for someone to not discriminate based on colour after mindless racist scum murdered his brother is a godsend the self control and self awareness this man has is second to none 👏 massively respect him and he's alot more real than eubank doesn't need to repeat himself to get his story over

I think it's fair to say that Nige was well up for that interview
@Jj-ty7qh8 сағат бұрын
Trouble with this interview is on the one hand Nigel says he’s staunch and practicing Christian but this interview is full of questionable stuff. Firstly, one way or the other avoided the test after the Gerard fight, so was never tested. So, on that basis, he is more than suspect. Not to say he knowingly took anything but regardless, it would make him just as liable if he were found with something in his system. Secondly, that fight with Gerard should have been stopped when Nigel was out on his feet and fell out of the ring and got a long count. The 20 count thing didn’t apply here cos he was on the apron when knocked out before falling out of the r8ng. Thirdly, Connor failed two tests and once again Nigel is defending this.

How did Conor Benn turn out the opposite to Nigel Benn... Not sparring like a madman is what made these legends legendary. The new generation put way too much emphasis on hard sparring.
@mikedobson16787 сағат бұрын
Eh? Old school training was hard sparring it’s more recently we’ve learned of the damage that does
@chrish53498 сағат бұрын
Simon is a coward despite his claims. This was his opportunity to claw back some credibility after Conor bashing. Not for me. Simon and Spencer should not be forgiven! They did all they could to destroy Connor. Shameful cowardly media bullies
@Hawkins1237 сағат бұрын
Shameful? The lad failed 2 drugs tests like it or not he either done it or his team done it, it’s one or the other. The lad or his team fked his own career, typical victims complex though it’s everyone else’s fault

The reason Simon went so hard on Conor (when we've barely heard a peep from him about Fury/Saunders/Whyte) is that Simon has a raging hard on for Eddie Hearn.
@joebloggs-z5z8 сағат бұрын
Yep. Spot on. He was right. Which was Eggie Earn and Con Bent, dealt with the whole thing horribly however the fact that Eggie was involved meant it became more personal for Simon.

Avoided drug tests after the Gerald McClellan fight. His son is guilty, it takes away anything good when you are lying to people until they are blue in the face

Fantastic interview but, the God thing is silly and I lost complete interest... it's not God, he's on medication for aggression, over analysing and feeling anxious. I'm on medication for the same and it's a chemical imbalance...not God

I just think he was robbed and the thing that shocked me about that is that Barry was a fighter and knew what it was like to be scammed. It’s also an eye opener in the fact that Hearn never ever has he been accused of not paying or paying less than contractually obligated and that’s a shocking thing in the sport of boxing. Also why is Simon asking the victim what the motives of the criminals were!?!?
